Quick comparison of the new ETC v2.2 vs v1.3

Hi. You can check Speeduino forum where I've recently proposed a schematic for hypothetical v3. This one would be a hybrid of digital and analogue domain with an option of making it fully digital. I'm a bit skeptical about this concept as making it analogue was one of the key points from the beginning. The advantage of such approach is, among other things, ease of adding second ACC and TPS inputs (they are already on the schematic) for redundancy or more failure modes detection. Doing that fully analogue way is possible but of course would make it bigger and more complex. I can imagine switching to second input once there is a failure detected on the first one but performing other operations such as comparison between two inputs and detecting failure if they do not match is much harder. Not impossible, but is it worth it?

I dont think there's a problem. I've watched some small channels that blare background music so loud that you can barely hear the person talk. I think D stage has it at the perfect level where you can easily hear what he is saying and it just makes it sound less empty.

Hehe, it seems I can only please one groupe here ;-) I've also seen comment regarding the type of music - some people love it some hate it. Tell you what, once I get some kind of personal microphone so the speech has less echo I can consider no background music. But I doubt I'll get "This Old Tony" effect :D

@@DStageGarageThe music is at a good volume and isn't a particularly annoying track. I find it hard to only listen to someone talk with no other noise than the background static from the mic. This is especially so if you're not the most fluid on camera or if it's not hyper edited to be some-what rapid fire. Stick with the music, see what fits your style best. If you get a fair number of people mentioning the music, then it's likely that it's either too loud or the actual music itself is annoying, not the fact that there is music present.

I think having music isn't necessarily bad and I actually like the music you use, but you're a pretty quiet speaker. If you spoke louder I doubt anyone would complain. You don't have to please anyone but yourself though, it's all up to you!
