I do play on Mobile but I clearly see what Pepe's talking about all the time. I'm a big fan of Xabi Alonso so I bought the quick counter pack + the other benefits it offers, but I started receiving more goals, conceding in almost every counter counter attack, whether it was AI or PVP. It didn't matter how many Anchor Men I use or how far back I push my defenders and Holding Midfielders. I always concede, I've switched back to my long ball counter, Guess I'll wait till whenever Konami releases a Long Ball Counter Boosted Manager with 88 Proficiency
True that, Quick Counter just doesn't have the well-structured defense that Long Ball Counter has, which can give some formations quite some trouble defending.
@@ponbcka OP is not a noob. I face the same problem because i play on mobile. In addition, the defense structure on mobile with QC isn't that great compared to LBC and more reasons why people settle for LBC because of it's defensive shape and line.
That's an interesting point, I do agree I've seen more weird defensive movements with Quick Counter, while Long Ball Counter seems to be a lot smoother.
I did it with 3-2-3-2 (game shows it as 3-3-2-2) with 3 CBs, 2 DMFs, 1 CMFs 2 AMFS (outside) and 2 CFs. Fun to play, challenging, good offensively and at pressing, but vulnerable against offensive formations, especially if the opponent manages to quickly skip your midfield. Outside CBs must be very fast (I used Wan-Bissaka & Hernandez), ideally, the central defender as well. If you want a more balanced approach, you could trade the CMF for another CB. Depending on how long it will take, I might have a formation guide up about it in the future.
Unfortunately, possession is in a rather difficult spot right now where it's basically high risk but low reward, I'd say both Quick Counter and Long Ball Counter are not only easier to execute but also straight up better for most players. If you have the coins and like to play Quick Counter, I would go for it.
Hey! I might do it in the future, it was actually between possession & quick counter this time, but since Konami changed possession like 2 patches ago, I haven't really tested it extensively yet. But it's definitely on my list, although I can't promise when it comes, will probably still take quite a while.
Hey! I have 2 formation guides up for LBC, this one here for example I consider one of the best formations in the game, maybe it helps: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K_A_qjkasfs.html
Hey! For most people, 4-3-1-2 would work fine (I got a formation guide if you're interested, although it shows much LBC footage, it works fine with QC as long as you already know how QC works, but since you commented here, you probably do). Other than that, I also play 3-2-3-2 myself (or 3-3-2-2 as the game names it), which I think is offensively stronger, more fun, but harder to play and defend. I might release a formation guide for this one in the coming weeks.
I prefer 4-3-1-2 diamond, if you want to know more about it, here's a detailed formation guide: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K_A_qjkasfs.html
It's been a while since I last played Long Ball so take this information with care: Defensively, they're very similar. When I tried Long Ball (like months ago) the last time, I realized that the stamina was draining a bit faster, so I guess they will also make long runs but more of them, and probably not focusing on the goal, but the long ball recepient (thus the name). I'd have to take a closer look though to know for sure though.
I wonder if they'll give it for 500 coins (which I actually consider quite fair) or make a 1500 pack again with players in it that most people won't need. The 500 coins Xabi Alonso was a brilliant move though, almost everybody will get it, so everybody will have the booster, which events it out, yet, everybody is now down 500 coins😁
I guess it's only a matter of time until we get a 88 rated booster manager for LBC, unless they purposely want to make the playstyle a bit weaker this way.
