I like to make things easy when I go out on the ice all day. Take a few minutes and check out some quick and easy modifications you can make to your Jet Sled.
Thank you! I think that would work as well. I definitely considered that. I put the mount in the back because it fits better getting in and out of my truck. Especially if I have another buddies sled in with it. Definitely makes sense though on the side. Thanks for the comment and tight lines.
Works great. I would suggest that it be elevated a tad in case your going through heavier snow and also to keep the drill mounted on for travel. Other then that it works wonders. Get compliments on it all the time. Tight lines!
It’s held up but I think a different way to mount the PVC is recommended. Short term it’s been great but over time the screws will pull out. I appreciate the comment tight lines.
I would like to make that rod holder but I have an SUV and the rods sticking straight up will not fit. Have to create something where they tilt in my truck. or can mount them on sides of sled laying flat.
True. I have a truck with a cover on it and your right they don’t fit. I usually put the rods in a sleeve while I’m driving around then load up the sled at the lake. Good luck to you let me know if you come up with any ideas on your end. Tight lines!
Full size as in a power auger? Or just your common auger with a handle attached? I use a 6 inch strikemaster which is what is on the back. I always bring my handle attachment with me in sled in case my battery’s go dead but if your going to put hangers on the back I suggest raising them an inch or two for clearance if you’d like to keep your handle on while hole hopping. Thanks for the comment and tight lines to you as well.
It will pull just fine. Hardly ever does snow accumulate deep on a frozen lake. Some possible deep drifts here n there but this sled will do the job and then some. Nice work!
