Hi, and welcome back to “Like to Style” tutorials.
If you’ve never cut hair before, or if you’re a beginner, then this video is for you. I've been cutting my own hair for many years without any formal training, so while i had gotten better with time and repetition, as good as one can get without any guidance, It was and is always hit or miss. So a decent cut for myself would be one with the least amount of mistakes :) Anyway, I've been watching your videos and find them incredibly helpful! I'm a wife who's never had done haircut before in my life, until the pandemic lockdown started, I really had no choice but to learn it from RU-vid. It was really scary at first, especially using only scissors coz we couldn't find our clipper. So far I've done it like 5x now since last year but my husband always got a surprising hairstyle every single time (surprising to us BOTH! LoL!). So hence today I'm watching this video to do the 6th one as we just found our clippers and I've never done it with that device. So wish us luck.. and I hope your wife will dare to try it and you will dare to try her "new skill". Lol

Hi, thank you for watching. You could try to use clipper guard number 4 or 5 to blend that section. And after do with scissors from top again, to blend top to sides. Hope this will be helpful. Thanks

Thank you for watching. Shear scissors I'm using for thick hair, sometimes for blending, or very straight hair. And if there is long fringe (bangs) that need to keep swept back. For texture as well only if the person using hair products (otherwise hair goes fluffy). Hope this is helpful. Thanks

Poor guy. I remember getting my hair done by a female barbers. She said she could cut men's hair, she fucked it up, they discounted the price and I went home and shaved it all off. Had to wait 3-4 weeks for hair to grow back to a length able to style. Was the worst experience ever. Always go to a male barbers.
