Quick & Easy Mini Album Tutorial - Cosmos Beginner Album - Part 1

Welcome to part 1 of the quick and easy, beginner , mini album tutorial.
This album can be created in an afternoon and would make a wonderful surprise gift for a loved one.
I use the Stamperia Cosmos paper collection, but any paper collection you like would work.
I also use many background papers that I created myself using the smooshing technique and Distress Oxide Inks.

Ahhh!!! I’ve had 2 of these exact paper packs! For like a year! And I didn’t want to touch them Bc the paper was so nice! And I’m used to doing junk journals, not so much scrapbooks but in ordered black cardstock, and I have chip board, (I have to check the sizes) but I didn’t want to cut up that beautiful wolf and the moon!!! Lol I’m must’ve looked for a tutorial on this specific scrap paper at one point Bc I really don’t watch tutorials, I just go with it since it’s junk journals I’m used to doing!!!! Sooooo I’m hoping I can pull this off! I’m sure it won’t be as beautiful as yours! But I am so glad to have seen this! I couldn’t get the vision in my head to start! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Love your tutorials. I tell everyone who will listen about your channel. I had trouble getting the pages and binding to the cover. It didn’t turn out perfect but I think I’m going to use it anyways. Thank you! You can buy tyvek envelopes on Amazon or most office supply stores should have them.

Now... but you go out of frame when you're attaching it, and I have attached and taken off several times, but I just can't figure it out..):

I'm sorry, I realized while editing it that I did go out of frame a bit. So you attach 2 pages together using a hing that has the score tape on the inside of the folds. Attach the other two pages together in the same way. Then take the hinge that has the score tape on the outside of the folds and sandwich it in between the two sets of pages. Does that help?

Hi Tammy, I buy my Tyvek in bulk from a Canadian office supply wholesaler. You can find it on Amazon or I do have the envelopes I use available in my Etsy shop.

This was one of my favorites too. I gifted it to my best friend! My youngest cat Zuri used to be in sp many of my videos. He's becoming a bit camera shy lately. Not sure why. He and his brother have my heart.❤

Where do you get tyvek? Usually if I’m stuck on something its cause the person is in the US or UK but you’re in Canada too! please advise where you find it? Thank you!

I buy my tyvek from a Canadian company called Uline. You do have to purchase it by the case though which is quite pricey. You can find smaller amounts of the envelopes on ebay!

I love your videos. You are so talented. I have been trying not to mention this but in many of the videos, in my opinion, they are zoomed in too close and the bottom is not in the frame. I find it very distracting. I do realize they are older videos but I just had to mention this. As I said I love your work.

I do not understand what tie-back is I've never heard that term, could you provide a link to where I might find it online? Thank you for tons and tons of inspiration and learning! I'm so glad you found my channel! Tyvek is primarily used for envelopes. It's a thin material that can be cut but is rip-proof, so It's perfect for use in albums when you want something to stand the test of time. It's available at most large stationary stores or on Amazon. It's a bit on the more expensive side but well worth it!

I actually have a couple of envelopes made out of that material in my stash I always assumed it was just a linen product... I'm so glad to know the proper term for it. Working on my 1st mini album for a friend's birthday using your video as a template...I can't wait to see how it comes out! Thank you thank you thank you

I don't like making too easy and simple albums but I like your tutorials and I have the same paper which you used very nicely so I will start now - immediately. Finally I can use those pictures of a wolf and an owl that made me buy the paper. Thank you very much.
