Here's a quick easy and efficient way to fold towels which will also save some space. Hope you like this video if so give it a thumbs up comment and subscribe.
I am getting my immune system energized reading all the comments from the folks horrified at folding a towel on the floor. How many of you really believe this man folds the towels he uses on the floor? As for the space a towel occupies, the towel does not change, but maybe the amount of air trapped inside the folds does, allowing the space around the towel to accommodate another towel or two. You decide. Ever use one of those blanket storage bags and suck all the air out with your vacuum? And lastly, the tuck at the end might just keep that towel from UNrolling and letting in the air that you just squeezed out. Thank you for brightening my day.
I just watched six different towel folding/rolling vids and your method wins, hands down. Yours was the last one I needed to watch. Short and to the point wins the day for me.
Thanks my dude, great technique! I would give you 5/5 stars but I have to deduct one for the cruddy carpet with chunky stuff on it and another for forcing me to look at your naked feet. Save that for your Only Feet page bro.
Instead of all the negative comments, view it as it was intended, a demonstration. Which I for one am grateful for. I have a little cupboard under the sink in the mud room, where I keep all the older towels, but it doesn’t fit them folded, as they are all irregular sizes. Used for cleaning up messes, dog towels etc., I can vouch this works, all rolled, now stacked tightly in the cupboard, thanks 👍😊
YALL ARE PETTY AF.... HE TOOK HIS TIME SHOWING YOU SOMETHING USEFUL AND ALL YALL DO IS JUDGE HIS CARPET.... WE ALL KNOW TO LAY TOWEL ON TABLE ETC. YALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED. IT WAS JUST DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES PEOPLE 🤬. GREAT JOB MATE. WELL DONE, TO THE POINT. IGNORE THE IGNORANT MINDED HUMANS
Exactly. What they fail to realize is that it's a dirty towel, and doing it on the floor creates a better viewing angle. I would never fold my clean laundry on the floor.
Will do this to my messy linen closet. The towels are falling all over the place! I'm 71 years old, and just learning this trick I should have known about decades ago! 😃
i was noticing the number of views and thought. “humans are fabulous. our ingenuity. and what I love about the internet and youtube is it is not controlled by who decides what is important and what to share. we are interested and appreciate people sharing. thank you. towel space is one of those, especially with so many down-sizing spaces, useful thoughtful ideas we will all use and appreciate.
Everyone has a different way of doing things. So times your way is better, other time you just do not know other ways to do it. Keep an open mind, try it decide if it works for you, if not, no lose go back to your way, or find a new better way. Either way be happy
He literally said “put it on a surface that you’re gonna fold it some more on” he didn’t say specifically for you to fold it on the floor. Did anybody consider that he’s folding the towel on the floor for ease of recording? Or that 1) he’s using a dirty towel because IT’S A DEMO, 2) he’s going to wash the towel afterwards because IT’S A DEMO, or 3) it’s none of our business because IT’S A DEMO. C’mon guys.
I joined the Navy when I was 17 and decades later, I still fold most of my clothes the way the Navy taught me (it really saves space). Today, I learned something new. Now I can easily stack towels in the bedroom linen closet. Saves a LOT of room than how I used to fold towels. Thanks!
Quarters, then thirds. Fits the shelf. My big sister even asked me why my towels always stack so nicely and stay folded. She folds in half, in half and in half again and her linen closet is a sloppy mess. As a teen at school she had a roommate who taught her how to fold a fitted sheet and I've been doing it that way for 50 years. She asked why mine were always folded better than hers. I just take the time to fold them nicely. I like seeing a tidy linen closet.
Space has never been such a premium that I needed to squish all the fluff out of the bath towels. If I had 5 kids they would not be using a fresh towel every time they showered unless they were doing their own laundry. If you shower daily a towel can last more than one or two showers if you spread it to dry after.
Obviously a lot of people didn't pay attention to the part of the instructions where he said a surface. You don't have to use the floor of your home, use your bed or table. Honestly it seems to be a lot easier to view on a video using that floor just pretend that it's not a floor. You dig?
Exactly. The towel is dirty anyway. Imagine the lack of comments that would occur if I had stated that in the beginning. "By the way, I'm using a dirty towel." Lol
I already roll my towels because it makes it easier to store and easy to identify and take out whichever you want. The only downside is sometimes they can get unrolled while taking out, which should be fixed by this solution.
I'm going to take all the towels out of my linen closet, refold them with this method, and put them back to see if they all fit better in the same space.
That was my initial reaction, but folding it tightly and locking it folded compacts the towel. It is like measuring the height of a pipe of folded towels then placing a heavy paving stone on top of the pile. The volume of the towels will be less, ie. more efficient storage.
It worked for me. I could fit about 5-6 towels of varying sizes & thicknesses in my towel box. This method means I can now fit 9-10. Go as tight on the folding as possible.
I actually watched this to see if this was a space saver. But as usual just comments full of condescending people with nothing better to do. About a TOWEL. Good night RU-vid.
@@SparkingLife111 It was ridiculous. Like he was going to then take the towel and dry off the baby with it. I actually am going to try it because I'm very short on space and that might help.
I see this video and title, Find myself getting angry and go to hate watch the video! Then after a quick and decisive video showing me how to do this.. Click thumb up and shame myself... lol
Have been a towel roller for decades. This puts a whole new spin on it. Thanks😊. Added note: recently made the Dollar Tree towel rack to use in small bathroom. My towels will be neater with this fold method. ❤
If that's the reason for trying this, I pity anyone else living with your illogical mannerisms and lifestyle choices! This method is *_not_* for saving space! Circles and cylinders do not stack, it's a basic immutable law of topology. If your purpose is to save space, you must fold your fabrics _flat_ so that you can stack them! This method is for other purposes... although I'm not sure what those are yet, beyond making them look pretty for your guest room or for taking to the swimming pool.
Oh yeah, right, I believe you, of course, why didn't I think of that after all these decades of dumbly following my maths and physics and craft teachers, my technical drawing construction techniques, topology lectures, etc. Why, of course circles and cylinders stack better than square and flat planes, it makes sense! The apparent wasted space in the interstices between these "supposed unstackable" shapes are just that: _apparent_ and in fact it's an optical illusion that my _rolled_ towels now take up 22½% extra volume in my airing cupboard, whereas the folded flat sheets still take up the same volume they always did...
@Dranok1 Um, I just made an innocent comment about how I find a different way of doing it. I meant no disrespect. There is no need for such nastiness in your comment.
Good explanation. I was amused by the shocked reactions by some that you demonstrated the technique on the floor. How do they survive the trillions of bacteria and viruses they encounter on a daily basis in even their "clean" homes? I guess if they can't see microbes they imagine they aren't there 🙂
yay!! i just moved into a 1 bedroom house with my kiddo and partner, and we were like weve gotta find ways to save space. So this worked perfectly! Thank you so much :)
Video saved to my “Holidays” folder - should I ever need to return my beach towel in the condition it was delivered. That will definitely confuse the pool team 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤣🤣🤣
Yeah a minute 12 seconds is great. I don't even mind if the videos go on after getting to the point. But they often spend 15-20 minutes to show something like this.
Never thought my jaw would drop for a towel folding /rolling video until now 😂 I love that little tuck at the end, will keep them from coming undone when someone moves them around or wants the one on the bottom
The thumbnail says ..”for lazy ppl” ..No ..lazy ppl just ball it up and throw in the closet! Neat ppl take their time and fold it the most neat and space saving way!
If you want to take that towel out to hang up on your towel rack, it will have wired creases. I fold mine in thirds, lengthwise, the in half and half again. Sometimes I’ll fold the same lengthwise, but fold in thirds and stand them up Akon Mark style. It doesn’t take nearly as long and doesn’t require using the floor or other surface. Rolling your towels look nice if displayed on a shelf or basket.
Like everybody else I was going to give you a hard time about the clumps of pet hair on your carpet, but then one of my cats stuck her butt in my face and reminded me that maybe I shouldn’t. 😂 I may run the vacuum cleaner in the morning, but I think I’m going to stuff the towels in the closet unfolded because I’m just not feeling it.
I was cetic in the beggining, but after a practical test, i comproved that method is really amazing! My old "smart way" to fold was 2 times bigger than the new way! Thank you so much! But i'm thining, it's possibly to be even more smaller?
This technique seems to work only if you have a square surface after the initial folding in half! It gets messy if you have a rectangular area after the initial folding in half. 😢❤
