Dome Romantik is a roguelike mining game, where you go on a run to strip multiple planets of their minerals, while the native creatures furiously try to stop you. They come in waves, so you have to carefully consider your mining activities to return just in time to defend you dome. Greed can be deadly, information a viable tool for survival. Powerful upgrades will help you stay alive and be productive until you can move on to the next world.

Your Dome Keeper videos are my favourite I've found. I adore the dedication to efficiency and the fishbone style mining; I also wish there were more "fun" modes -- they gave the people who want a difficult game with hard modes everything they want, they should give folks who want to play the meditative zen aspect of the game some stuff too!

How about a “peaceful prestige” mode where your dome doesn’t crash down on an innocent bystander and as such you don’t enrage the planet and are free to mine at your leisure, however you have to balance what upgrades you get to maximize your score or something.

I really feel like, when you have the orchard dome, you really want that upgrade that DOUBLES growth speed at the cost of water, like, here, you had 7 water for a long time and never used it, just a thought! Loved this vid, hope you'll do more and hope the game gets more updates soon!

The main reason I dont like the probe is it doesnt find the gadget. I was kind of liking it because you just dig out feelers, scan, and then go get the resources, but when I accidentally hit the gadget in a scanned zone it ruined it. You still have to strip mine for the gadgets

More zen? Would that be Normal Huge? With long cycles I think it might be pretty zen

To defend the probe, despite it not finding the relic: It significantly reduces the amount of space you need to mine in order to find the gadget for each zone and get all the resources effectively. All gadgets are a 2x2 square, meaning that you can leave a gap of 3 and still always find the gadget, or a gap of 4 and fairly frequently find the gadget if you're really trying to zoom through. Additionally, while it doesn't help you find the relic in late-game, it does save you time in zones where you've already found the gadget and if you're digging deep for resources and don't want to mine through the super-dense rock ... And that's it! That's all of the positives i have for the probe! It is kind of convenient, sometimes.

Also, on the note of speedruns: Still probably wouldn't be that good. If you want to seriously speedrun, you want bombs and the teleporter. So it isn't even really that helpful there.

Probe with the new intended mining system works well, but the probe also does not find the relic or upgrades

Important thing to note and remember if you ever use the probe again: It does not reveal relic nodes nor the relic itself.

You could have done your wishbone style mining with probe. Instead of 2 block gaps you switch it to 4 or more block gaps. Using the probe to scan the un-mined space.
