Subscribed! I've really started to appreciate the utility of palm muting. I've been messing with Damian Erskine's Right Hand Drive course to help try and diversify what I can do with my hand in this position. For me in 2023/2024, I'm trying to get my right hand together with double thumbing and palm muting options, and this sort of info like you have presented here is helpful as it gives groove-based examples to shed on and loop until it feels natural. Thanks for your channel!
Just found this channel, you are a very talented musician, and I am looking forward to learning and internalizing your lessons, Thank You Sir! I do have a question on muting, would using a sponge or similar device in front of the bridge produce the muting effect and provide more freedom to finger the notes?
Being a classical musician with a classical guitar for 15+ years before switching to bass for reasons, I still fail to understand how you are able to execute those free strokes on a bass without long fingernails... Mine sound like crap and playing anything approaching a moderate speed is out of the question.
