So I do have some info on this Kenyatta: You and I have the same smoker. I used to have this cover as well. It was very durable and high quality leather, but it doesn't have any clips or anything. I live in the northern midwest and when we'd get storms with high winds, the cover would come half off over the firebox. i'd have to put a cinder block on top to weigh it down. I contacted them and bought a new one and they have since changed. It was I think $400 bucks. So a TON of money, but i didn't see any other option (I got some grease on the inside and i could never get it clean so i needed a new one otherwise I would have lived with using the cinder block). Anyway, the new cover they sell you is from an outside company. It's also a nice form fitting cover. It's not leather, but very high quality weather resistant fabric. And they got it right this time and have clips on the bottom of this new cover so it no longer lifts in the wind. I wasn't a big fan of that old cover because it didn't have clips. At $150, it was a steal though. They now sell it for 3 times that, but the cover is better.
Hi Kenyatta! I just got my 20 x 36 LSG on Dec 13 of last month. I too got the cover, but it looks nothing like yours, its heavy duty as well, but more like a heavy duty waterproof fabric. A real breeze to take on and off the smoker! Anyways, always love your vids, keep em coming!
Hi Paul! As Blair mentioned in a separate comment, it sounds like you have the newer version of the cover sold by LSG. I'm glad to hear that the newer version is still heavy duty but much easier to take on and off. The challenge in taking mine on and off is the main reason why I don't use it regularly. Otherwise, I'd be completely happy with it.
