Hi Mate thanks for the video, I bought one a couple of years ago and with the little things I do it is great BUT I had a brain snap the other day and switch it to 115 volts while turned on and it has died :( is there an easy fix to this or is it toast ?? thanks for any advise Cheers Mark

I doubt you'll find a better one for the money. Everything between $50 and $120 USD are typically the same units with different packaging. To find a PSU that's actually a step up in quality and design you're gonna ave to spend $200+ from what i've seen.

for rf work the noise on the output rails makes it unuseable

was drawing a bit of power of one of these and the fan wasnt spinning so I was worried. Thankfully it seems all units have it so the fan spins only when temp of components heats up to certain temp like it is with meanwell power supplies.

Thanks for your review, I am just getting into electronics and have been looking around YT for a suitable entry level 30V 10A power supply. I would have bought a Lavolta BPS-305 (30V 10A, linear power supply) if I could have found one for sale. Saw this unit on AliExpress and so went looking for a YT review and here I am. Your unit looked pretty well made, had decent output and the price was right ($61.95AUD delivered!), so I bought one. AliExpress stated delivery by 14 Feb 2023 (18 days), time will tell.

he is measuring current and 2A and that makes sparks go sparky, nothing wrong

Too high voltage (20V). When short circuiting a lab supply for setting the short circuit current limit, the voltage should be set to 5V or less. At 5V there will be minimal sparks
