Nice and instructive video mate! Question, how much does the awning weights? It seem pretty solid constructed. I’m looking for an awning like that but I want to get one not too heavy. Thanks!
This is one of the most informative videos I've got to see that shows the actual fitting of a 270 awning well done. I don't know much about this awning as I've been looking at the ostrich wing awning and the bush company and was very close in buying 1 but had doubts with the mounting. This awning is the first awning that doesn't have a channel with bolts in it holding the weight. To have the mounting bolts on the hinged end is great. Have you had any issues with this awning? Also have you got full coverage with your rear door open?
No issues with the awning. No sagging or anything with the brackets either. It covers most of the back. Enough to still use the back with a light rain.
What was the end price of it including brackets and how long did it take to get to you? Cheers mate, they look the best so far with that extra room at the back.
Hey mate, I think retail was around 1690 + brackets. Price on those will depend on what rack you have but anywhere from 80-150. Best to give them a call or a visit to suss out a deal.
Hey mate, do you have any idea on where i could find those smaller brackets you used on the front of the rack? i have the same rack and those would be perfect. Even a link or a name to search? tried everything. Cheers
@@brendonv101 fair enough.. I got no bolts with my awning. Rear bracket holes are 9mm (for a M8 bolt) but they look a little small for my liking. M10 would be better.
Yeah man it's so easy to setup and pack away. I find myself using the awning a lot more then my old one just because of how quick and easy it is to whip out. Can even put it out in the driveway when working on a mates car for a bit of shade.
I don't sorry. I just went into the quickpitch shop and he gave me a bracket to suit. Maybe contact the bloke you're buying off with a picture of your roof rack.
