Hello i was watching your vid for the vw nec cluster i made a key for a 16 passat car starts but i have to put the key next to the column is there another way to program the keyless portion
how i do those is to program just a basic chip on the bench, then put the cluster back in the car, turn on the cluster by holding chip near the column, then get cluster into service mode, then program the chip portion of the keyless key, then go down to the right bottom corner of the screen and click on add keyless... this adds the keyless portion.. then close that special function and go to remote programming and program the remote portion of the key... remember, there are three parts to that key, the transponder, the keyless portion that transmits at 788 mhz, and the remote portion that transmits at 315 mhz.... Yes all those functions are carried out by one chip in the remote, but you have to program it in as three different functions... Even the factory software, ODIS, does it that way... good luck.. let me know how it works...
