Its rarely used because they give us so many safer ways to counter and build spirit. Out of all counters, Tempered Spirit Blade is the most risky in my opinion. I wish it gave an attack or sharpness buff when you pull it off. Otherwise, what's the point at using it other than its fun to use?

Looks like it builds spirit level, which is quite handy, and it can be activated nearly instantly without having to do another attack first, so it's very safe.

the second wirebug counter at 5:00 was so close to not being off cooldown, that shit was crazy. I cant believe he went for that instead of the other counter that makes you leap backwards.

Me neither. So gone are days building up for roundhouse slash. It’s all dodge counter to build levels and no more jump head splitter. Now it’s use all 3 bars for 3 combo attack.

They are using tempered spirit blade to gain levels because it’s the fastest unsheathing counter. Then when they get red they use a new silkbind that takes gauge to unleash a very strong 3 hitter. Iai slash and the jumping move were heavily nerfed going to sb so they aren’t they most effective strat for speeedrunning

All I've wanted since Day 1 was my Quick Sheath Lv3 3-2-1 Charm, someday... Thanks for teaching me some of those routes, I either never knew or forgot you can special sheathe cancel a foresight slash halfway, and I still haven't learned the timing for Tempered Spirit Blade. Well done Hunter!

Considering it's done consistently at least 2 more times by the 7 minute mark, yeah, they just fully understand "this sweep move can hit me twice, I need both wirebugs up and I need to Tempered slash it twice"

I just switched to Raging Brachy 2 set and Teostra 3 set after using Velkhana armor with the quick sheathe 3 having only damage decorations now I miss it sorely. Taking 10 years to sheath to heal myself is a pain

That charge attack... is that only available in the Sunbreak expansion? Thats not in the vanilla game. In fact, some of those movements arent in the vanilla game. What was that move in @7:24... How do you dash around while sheathing and how do you charge your LS?

That movement is part of the charge attack, you can move while in that stance so you can position your attack. And yes, it's a Sunbreak skill

Are some of those moves added in with dlc? Or are they just silkbind combos. Cause I've never seen those moves before but I def would use them if I could. I just started playing rise when it came to Xbox game pass so unfortunately I don't know all the tech yet.
