Something shifting in me while watching you do this. It made me realize how much I operate from my left brain. This is so freeing to do. Amazing! Thank you Diane.
I didn't know there was an exercise for training the right side of the brain that helps me with my drawing. This is fantastic! Thank you so much for this great tip!
I did learn contour drawing in class. But didn’t get the idea of it being a daily exercise. Well yes ma’am- it’ll become part of meditation for me. 🙏🏽😄
Acabo de encontrar su canal y aunque im not speak english , su forma de enseñar traspasa la barrera del idioma. Muchas gracias por compartirla y que sigan los éxitos.
All right, I'm going to do these two exercises every day, for 10 minutes, for the next week. Then I'll move on to your other challenge, the phantom drawing and do it for a week. Challenge accepted, and thanks!
@@IntheStudioArtInstruction Day 3. Have to admit I'm getting bored after 10 minutes of drawing whatever's in front of me after the warmup, but am doing it anyway. On printer paper, then throwing it away with barely a glance. Today my focus turned to how much pressure I was putting on the pencil (too much), and that was helpful. Just the process of drawing *something* every day alone is helpful. Curious what else I'm going to discover along the way :)
Dear Mam Do u have video of how to mix primary colours and secondary colour exercise in mixing to get what colour we want. Because in Acrylic I wanted to make Raw sienna but it turned after drying it turned into Burnt umber. Reply me soon Thanks Rims1
I think those exercises I developed in Quick Tips 225 through 230 will help you answer this and all questions having to do with intensity, as well as value. These exercises are designed to give you the experience of seeing how colors influence one another.
Just imagine for a moment, DiVince, Rembrandt and the other masters had the opportunity to study in your classes, the breathtaking works that could have been produced by them.
There has been a lot of research about that. As far as creative thinking goes, there's little difference, if any. The left hemisphere functions for logical thinking while the right hemisphere functions for perception and creative thinking. You might get more clarity by reading Jill Bolte Taylor's book, My Stroke of Insight.
