This video does a good job of demonstrating just how tight some of the floor plans are for two people to get around. That being said , I'll take the Launch or the Revel .
RUBY, always enjoy your informative videos. My question if you can, what mtg. Offer class b's with no generator or propane lithium battery only. Thank you
I believe the Tiffin Cahaba, Entegra Launch, Storyteller overland, winnebago Revel, and Jayco Terrain. You should check out my Top 10 Adventure Vans video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Kv0fL9khkBQ.html Thanks for Watching!
Sadly, I wouldn't get ANY Class B built on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis (or diesel), so in my case would only be looking at ProMaster and Transit (preferred) platforms -- I couldn't even watch this video and worse, YOU completely wasted your time/effort doing it! Just kidding! :-) And I know I'm not the ONLY subscriber here, so there ARE others (lots I'm sure) looking for Sprinter-based Class Bs, so in THEIR case, may I say your "Class B Speed Dating" video was well-done. :-) However, crossing-off Sprinters makes my choice-making process WAY easier, as that leaves a lots less Bs to choose from, even less really, as I'd be looking at something more "old school" like a campervan, such as the smaller Pleasure-Way Tofino, which would also be my Daily Driver...its other duties woudl be for weekend camping trips and as a more comfortable vehicle for doing long road trips (staying in hotels at night though, same as I would be doing were I driving a car/truck). But if I DID need to pull-over and get some sleep (driving too many hours), I could do it in a campervan WAY more comfortably than in a car/truck. But since I won't be ready to buy until maybe the 2025 model year, I look forward to seeing what (a "shorty" 17-18' Class B) is out on the market THEN: Hope there are more (and better) choices in 3 years time. Heck, maybe even Pleasure-Way will improve their Tofino (features) enough for 2025, despite Dean Rumpel being somewhat of a stick-in-the-mud, and consequently Pleasure-Way NOT being as "innovative" as he usually claims. ;-) Here's hoping, -- BR
Hello Bill, I am confident that a new class of European RVs will be coming to the USA over the next few years, and some of them will be on the Ram and Ford platforms and will have some real interesting design features. Thanks for Watching!
@@Adventure-Mom Ruby, yes, I've seen the Italian (soon to be imported?) "Wingamm Oasi 540" and it definitely does look good, especially its shorter length, and when it DOES come here (IIRC) it'll be built on a ProMaster chassis (but a cut-away ProMaster body, not an "intact" ProMaster like a true Class B is). But I have 2 main concerns re: the Oasi: 1. Being the coach part of the Oasi is made completely of fiberglass, I wonder how easily it would be damaged in an accident -- even a small accident might do severe (and "total") damage (less so to a steel body Class B). 2. Being a fiberglass coach, if left parked in the sun on a daily basis will it be able resist the constant sun (UV ray degradation) and become cracked (crazing) or make the fiberglass brittle over time. Or how about hail damage (s a serious issue here in Colorado)? Many of us (especially apt. renters) don't have garages, or if we do, not TALL garages that Class B's will fit in). How well will the Oasi's fiberglass exterior hold up over time (even if gel-coated)? As we all know, a "normal" Class B is made of steel (being a complete van, not a cut-away chassis like Class C's use) and automotive paint (with clear-coat) on steel is VERY durable over time...not sure about the Oasi over the years parked in the sun everyday. So (!) my thought is if they could put an Oasi 540 floor-plan INSIDE a ProMaster -- or Transit body -- THAT would be best (IMO) for the 2 reasons given above. However, given the Oasi coach is larger (wider) that the ProMaster's body, I'm guessing that 540 floor-plan wouldn't FIT inside a ProMaster's (or Transit's) interior, so the "roominess" (relative to its small size) of the Oasi as it is now would be reduced quite a bit...not sure that would work out well. Still otherwise, I DO like the Oasi... So yes, maybe something from the EU will come to shake-up the AMERICAN "shorty" Class B market...make it more "innovative" than it is now. And DESPITE my good buddy Dean Rumpel @ Pleasure-Way. ;-) Cheers, -- BR
