All of your videos have been incredibly helpful! I picked this up as a hobby during the stay-at-home order in my state and it’s been a sanity saver!:)

Is there a difference in the number of stitches in a row. Very clear instructions thanks.
@Danysska
@Danysska 5 лет назад
No, it depends on how many beads are in one row, and this is the parameter you choose.

WOW thank you. I didn't know there was a difference and now I see why I have been struggling to get it. Also, what size beads do you recommend for both styles of stitching?
@Danysska
@Danysska 2 года назад
Thank you very much. I think you can easily use the same size beads for both techniques. The most commonly used size is 11/0. 8/0 is good for beginners. And if you want a challenge, try 15/0.

Is it just preference in using slip stitch as opposed to single crochet stitch or at what point do you use one or the other.
@Danysska
@Danysska 4 года назад
I use slip stitch when I want to make thin ropes, maximum 8 -10 beads in 1 row. And when I want to make thicker ropes, 10 beads in 1 row or more, or some bead balls, purses, cell phone cases or anything else, I recommend to use single bead crochet.
@venanciasandin6475

Danysska Thank you. I like to work with size 8 beads with 6 bead rows.

Hello which of the two techniques do you recommend for beginners?
@Danysska
@Danysska 3 месяца назад
Hey, I don't think it really matters. It depends more on the diameter of the rope. Thin rope - slip stitch, thick rope - single crochet.

Hey, I'm planning on doing that. I don't have it as a separate video yet, but I have the instructions as part of another video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JdVG8rE3MiE.html

Hello, slip stich is very easy and looks more good but when I use that technique, my work becomes so hard and tight that it is not possible to use it. Please can you help me please. Why is this happening?
@Danysska
@Danysska 10 месяцев назад
Switch to single crochet ;) Or you could try using a bigger hook so your loops aren't so tight. It also depends on how many beads you have in a row. My rule of thumb is that if I have a bead crochet rope with no more than 8 beads in a row, I use slip stitch, but if it's more than that, I use single crochet. The bead crochet rope can then break even with larger diameters if you use slip stitch. And then there's nothing you can do about it.

For 6/8 beads crochet bracelet which pattern will be better? single beads crochet or slip stitch?
@Danysska
@Danysska 2 года назад
Hi, it's not the size of the beads that matters, it's the diameter of the rope. Up to a maximum size of 8 to 10 beads in one row, you can use slip stitch. For larger ropes, single crochet is better.

I'm doing my bead crochet rope and while crocheting I found loops about two rows down. I had to rip back. What was I doing wrong?
@Danysska
@Danysska 2 года назад
Hey, Ellen, I don't think I can tell where the mistake might have been... Did you normally have loops without beads, like maybe you forgot to crochet a bead? Or did some inner loops get out and you had the beads right?
@ealgava7234
@ealgava7234 2 года назад
@@Danysska it looked like two loops weren't touched. There were no beads, just two loops that I had to rip back to. I'm using the single crochet technique
@Danysska
@Danysska 2 года назад
@@ealgava7234 And when you kept crocheting, did the pattern continue correctly?
@ealgava7234
@ealgava7234 2 года назад
@@Danysska yes, but I had to do that part over because it ripped out.
@Danysska
@Danysska 2 года назад
@@ealgava7234 Something similar happened to me a few days ago. I'm preparing a new snake pattern and crocheting a sample rope now. And I noticed that I also crocheted an empty loop without a bead. But I noticed it pretty much right away, so I only ripped out about 5 beads. It happened to me because I'm testing out a new crochet thread and it's terrible. It's very shiny and thin and the beads slide around a lot. So the bead just slid back down the thread and I crocheted the loop without it. Maybe that happened to you too :)
