Working & experimenting on new things has been taking up a lot of my time lately...Some successful, others, destined only for the bin. Weeks of woohoo along with frustration - you know how it goes.
This morning, I felt the need for a quick warm up, nothing planned, just something to get the arm moving...so, I decided to use the Indigo & Iron Plum Wallace Seymour Ancient Drawing stones, plus a little of the white Sennelier oil pastel at the beginning...
I'm imagining the coast, a rocky shoreline, gazing out to the horizon, far away from the grey start here...
As you can see, I used quite a lot of water, and the 220gsm Seawhite of Brighton cartridge paper - hence some buckling...
But, the stones do provide some lovely granulation, although I'm aware that they will dry slightly lighter in colour. Anyways, it's a start, now onwards & upwards...
