Well, I finally got mine! Same model as yours. It came with nice rubber, high quality, hoses. Not shiny ones like yours. I wonder why you got different hoses?( or maybe I got different hoses) I work with hydraulics occasionally; so I recognize good quality when I see it. As far as the reservoir being cheap plastic, I have to disagree with you. It is plastic, but good quality. And thankfully it is more flexible than a metal reservoir. I forgot to open the vent the first time I ran the lifts up! The tank was all collapsed! I let it back down without opening the vent, and it regained it's original shape. If it had been metal, I would be ordering a new reservoir. I agree it isn't a total breeze to put a car up in the air, but the more I use it, the easier it will be. What I really like about it, is when you're not using it, you can stand them up against a wall totally out of the way. My scissor lift I just sold was always in the way. Big trip hazard when it wasn't in use. And I couldn't do anything under the mid section of the vehicle. Time will tell if it was a good decision.
I must have the updated version motor, the tank is metal but it does not come with the metal carrying thing. I called QJ and they said they were trying to make them lighter weigh!
Thanks for sharing. I have the same model being delivered Tuesday the 13th of march. I will be curious to see if it is the same as yours. I don't think the plastic tank will bother me; but I may have to get new hoses made up locally if they too crappy.
I know! I have several years experience working with hydraulic lines on car haulers and they came out with plastic hoses! They can and do handle a lot of pressure and the hoses for the lift are rated at 12,000 lbs. with a burst pressures of 23,000 psi but, I just like braided hoses better!
