Hi Barbara ! A bit of everything today. I always love going for a drive with you & John around the city. A shame about your knit group, but I'm sure the visit to Skein sisters was lovely, and I'm yet to try the Miss Babs. Well done John, the granny cardi looks so lovely too. I'm still working on my Corran Barbara, a bit time poor lately, but I've just finished splitting and knitting the back panel, so I've made good progress. Hope your having a great week friend ❤
Happy birthday to Kitty and Judith. It's mine on Monday 🎂 I love the cardigan. It's the pattern you sent me. I will have to start it soon. Looks like John changed the rib on the band. Good to know I can decide that when I get to it. Enjoy your week. Your so lucky to have a sea view.
Hi Barbara 👋, Happy birthday to both Judith and the sweet kitty Levine. Hope they enjoyed their day. Also. Lovely birthday fibre choices and can't wait to see what they eventually want to become. Exciting to see spring starting for you whilst fall is just staring here. Thank you for sharing as always. Take care🤗
The Jacobs Ladder is my favourite quilt block for its versatility, so easy to construct and I love the story of Jacob and the Ladder. And there's a Flying Geese Quilt opportunity within the pieces as its a 'scrap' block with squares that are sewn and cut into triangles. Let me know if you need any advice or help with a quilt prep. 💗🪡🧵
Hi Barbara, Love your cardigan and also the one under construction. The weather is warming up so I will soon be swapping from knitting back to quilting. Meanwhile I am still working on my mitred square blanket. Maybe I could knit something from cotton yarn. Also wanting to learn some colour work. Not enough hours in the day. Look forward to your next vlog as always 🙂
It is getting very warm here too. I haven't knit anything with cotton that I can remember but I would like to try knitting cotton socks. I'm hoping to start hand quilting a couple of quilts in my que...waiting. See you next week xx
Happy Birthday Kitty and Judith! 💜 your blog today is so jam packed Barbara. I love all your knits. I can't remember if I mentioned before that I have the pattern for the Corran Cardigan, so I apologise if I'm repeating myself 😊 I have some vintage 8ply yarn in a green and a mulberry colour. Yours is very inspiring! John did such a great job with your crocheted hexagon cardigan. It's so lovely! Did he pick the colours or did you Barbara? They go so well together and are so vibrant.... gorgeous! 💜 Thanks for the trip to the beach. I really enjoyed it. It looked so bright and as always, the sand and sea is so colourful! 💙 I still haven't started the Hungry Caterpillar quilt I want to make for my youngest grandson yet. Every time I see you put the finishing touches to your many quilts I do get closer to starting! 😂 Have a happy week crafting Barbara. I can't wait to see next week's creations. PS I don't have anyone in my everyday life who is a knitter either. If you ever want an opinion or to talk about your knitting just send me a message Barbara. I'm LoopyLouey on Ravelry and @loopy.louey on Instagram. Cheers 🥰
Thank you so much for this kind comment 💗. I might ask you for help with my next knit. Its hopefully going to be the Serkinet cardigan by Kate Davies. My crossover stitches never come out facing the correct direction. Mainly because I read patterns in mirror image reverse ..my stitches are on my right hand needle and the I knit with the left needle. I will subscribe to your instagram page now. Thank you so much xx
Re the crocheted cardigan yarn.. it was 2 big cake balls (sorry lost the ball band) maybe Callor: Colour Plum Pudding from Spotlight. They had all the colours in the one ball.
Your shawl is lovely Barbara and I hope you find it a useful size as it's not huge. I'm yet to block mine because the weather is conspiring against me Another super episode and I especially enjoyed seeing the trees and shrubs in the park xx
