I had this idea for a very long time, but I was very scared to approach it. Because if I had failed, I would have wasted a lot time, fabric, and effort. But one of the comments inspired me not to be afraid, but to try. The idea is that we take a fabric base and start painting, but with fabric instead of paint. We sew everything on using the applique method. I did a lot of work with hands. I also quilted with my hands, because at the moment we have a blackout in our country and I can't do it with a sewing machine. I am very interested in your opinion of this approach to quilting.
And maybe someone can guess which island I meant in this quilt’s name?) A hint: this island is located in Ukraine.
