Love you videos. Especially love that you're one hobby-est talking to others. I have a machine like the one you are using, and a Grace Qzone queen frame, and wondering how well pantographs would perform within my limitations. Questions answered!
The video seemed to skip past how you lined up the laser on the panto after you shifted the fabric to the left to finish the first line of quilting. Do you pull the quilt until the laser is on the starting point you want? Can you move the laser light until it is on the right location to pick up the pattern?
It looks like a lot of these are printed from the panto's item screen rather than a purchased pattern? I never thought to do that, though if it's true it seems like a way around buying the pattern. I hope I'm seeing it wrong.
HELP!!!!! OK I had a long arm, Janomie-18, but i was so scared of it & being left handed i finally gave up & sold it. We ad bought it used & i only got a few hours of training but the training was for all the right handed people in the class, so i was on my own. Also i went from a walmart on clearance Brother that was 20years old to a long arm. I now have a Singer Heavy Duty plus a Juki 2010, its not much but at least im no longer scared of the speed of the machines. Selling my long arm was the worse thing i did. Im now set up in a huge She Shed Thanks to my wonderful husband, its 16'x30' with lofts at both ends. Im ready to get back into my quilting & ive read that i can make my juki as a long arm which im not sure how. Id love to meet up with someone in Houston at the big quilt show there to show me the different frames, how to make my Juki a long arm & hopefully be able to use Pantographs, which ive got. I believe i would like another full frame that can go 120"x120", which is what i had before. I know I'll have to get some plywood boards under the legs because my floor rumbles when we use our sewing machines. I hope someone helps me out. Tanks & this is probably the worng are to ask for help but again im lost.
Do you have problems bending the needle by leaving it on down position while moving quilt? Thanks so much for this video! I'm starting my first pantograph on qzone frame soon🙂
