QW should definitely run at least the semi of both Mixed 4x4 & M4x4 in Paris! Fred Kerley, Christian Miller & Kennedy Lightner have scratched the 200m & Yared Nuguse has scratched the 5K. Athing rightfully got the headlines, but fellow favourites KC Lighfoot (PV) & Brooke Andersen (Hammer) also didn't make the US Team as well as '23 World Discus Champ Lagi Tausaga & '23 World Hammer Silver Medallist Janee' Kassanavoid. Getting WC Bronze last yr followed by this fall might just be exactly what Athing/Bobby need re motivation & focus! Can see her going from 1.54.97 to 1.53.99 by the end of this yr for #3 all-time & then running 1.53.27 next yr for a new & long overdue WR! USATF will definitely try to get Athing to run all the rounds of the W4x4 & Mixed 4x4 (with QW) in Paris to get her 2 Gold Medals & possibly at least one WR in the process!

There's a youtuber that goes by the tag of Mr1000k or something like that who is spreading unsubstantiated claims about this young man. Please go to his channel and report him for jeopardizing the future of a child simply for likes and subscribers.

I hope Quincy takes notes from Sha'Carri and see that while having a great start is key, he can always course-correct and bring it on home.

It would be inappropriate for U.S.Track to send Mu to Paris to run the 4 x 400 because she didn’t earn it at the Trials. The Mu of 2024 is not the Mu of 2021. She has clearly struggled with the pressures of expectations and has lost the motivation to train at the level required to be at her best. I hope she finds the love again and returns better than ever. Not going to Paris and being out of the spotlight may be the best thing for her. I wish Mu the best because she is a wonderful person. Very genuine and humble.

What does this have to do with Mu running the 4x400? That young lady is already down in the dumps because of the incident, are we now kicking her while she's down? It makes total sense for her to be on that 4x400 team. She didn't qualify in her event but we know what she brings. It would also make sense if she wasn't picked to allow the other young ladies to run it. It's a decision that they'll have to make but if it's me, I'm putting her in that 4x400. Her, Ellis, the young lady from Georgia, and Sydney could be scary. Hell, even Alexis Holmes is finally coming along this season. We need our best and Athing is one of them. She fell for christs sake!!

@@ConsciousFBA Because it would be an unprecedented exception from the process by which athletes qualify for the Olympic Team. Mu would be better served being out of the spotlight. The process for selecting athletes isn’t about making athletes feel better, but rather about fairness. Everyone qualifies at the Trials….period.

@@edgibbs3229 They don't qualify for the relays. That's a coach's decision. It's never about making someone feel better, not sure where you drew that from, by the way. It's about putting the best team out there. Athing is one of the best middle-distance runners we have regardless of who qualified for an open event.

I agree! I feel for Athing Mu, but she did not qualify outright to make the 4x400m relay pool. I believe the top 6 in the 400m finals make the relay pool and it would be a grave injustice to them to have someone who did not qualify outright to make the relay pools. If she made the 800m, i don’t think the coaches would even consider her in the relay pools. They didn’t in Tokyo, don’t see them making exceptions now. She also hasn’t run competitively this year to show cause and make the coaches look. It’s just so unfortunate that Mu is even in this position, but that’s sports.

@@ConsciousFBA I didn’t say “qualify”. Name an instance when the U.S Olympic Team relay included a runner whose only accomplishment at the Trials was to finish in last place. And do you really think the U.S. Olympic Track Selection Committee wants to explain why they chose Mu as compared with other runners in the 800 who finished ahead of her. They have a really good pool from the 400 and 200 meters that they can choose to include.
