if you think that Helldive (Level 9) Difficulty is hard, you ain't seen nothing yet. Helldivers 1 had 6 more difficulties after 9, going all the way up to Difficulty Level 15. with the last 3 being called "An Exercise in Futility", "The Definition of Insanity", and "The Inner Circle of Hell" and compared to Helldivers 2's difficulty 9 it is actually hell on earth. but you might be thinking, surely they wouldnt add these difficulties into Helldivers 2... right? well, that's where you're wrong. remember that this is a game company that finds friendly fire hilarious, so they absolutely plan to bring everything they made in HD1 into HD2, including difficulties. right now they're still at the phase of training us for what lies ahead, which is why a lot of bug and bot animations look like it interrupts itself mid-sequence, because their combos are supposed to be much more devastating. and to anyone who complains about the difficulty just remember that you have no obligation to play the higher difficulties, you can stay at level 4 or 5 all you like if thats your jam. but never forget that this is literally called "Helldivers", where we dive into literal Hell, this is no place for children under the age of 7. you can play casually and rest whenever you like, but that is only if you want to be remembered as a coward. (note: my comment is largely satire borrowing from ingame quotes and loading screen tips, so dont take it too seriously)

There are three types of jumping bugs. Listed from smallest to largest, there's the hoppers, which are basically just scavengers with little wings. Hunters, which hop around and dodge gunfire before pouncing at you. And lastly, the stalkers. These bugs are larger, more durable versions of the hunter, but with the added caveat of being invisible until either being shot dead or getting close enough to eat your liver.

I have been known to bring an autocannon exclusively to kill stalkers. Chargers? Meh. Bile titans? I have an (er, six) airstrike(s) with their name on it, right here, and I will use all of them simultaneously (if I could, that is -- most of them are eagles). Stalkers (and hunters, their little brothers)? MAY THEY BURN IN THE NINTH CIRCLE OF HELL, THEY ARE THE FIRST AND LAST TARGET I WILL EVER SHOOT. Also, level 9 isn't that bad. I've done it solo, once or twice. Side note, if you want to see the new factory strider enemy, queue into any level 9 bot mission, kill half the outposts, and allow one of the squishy enemies to call in a dropship. Congratulations, I hope you have a _really big_ airstrike off cooldown -- you'll be seeing 2 factory striders, post-haste. Never kill outposts unless you want 5 stars, all the samples, and you really trust your teammates.
