Quite the foodie experience at Gordon Ramsay’s Hells Kitchen, at Harrahs SoCal in Valley Center, California. North San Diego.
We enjoyed the scallops & oysters, to start. Tasted the excellent lobster risotto, incredible braised short rib, and of course Gordon’s perfect Beef Wellington!

Friend was in town visiting so we drove up to Escondido this past Monday night to dine at this place. First all, from central San Diego the drive up there sucks! Okay about the place. The décor and atmosphere is awesome! The food? Honestly, I've had better at TGIF's. When the waiter asks what you would like to drink and you ask for water, expect a $10 bottled water added to your bill. I ordered the $70 filet mignon 8oz. I asked to be cooked medium. He came out looking smaller than 5 oz. And you would think for $70 it includes sides. Nope, just 4 measly baby tomatoes. My friend ordered the wellington and he said it tasted below average. Total bill $350. We knew this place was pricey going in but goddam, it's just completely rip off. It's like spending $500k on the latest Ferrari, but the mpg is 2 miles.
