it's offically rainbow era! 🌈 i feel so much of what you're saying...this is such an important, on-going conversation. if shit doesn't allign, we need to find what does, especially for our kids. thanks for the reminder!

I am am teaching two kiddos now. One is almost 10 and the other is 6. Tried unschooling before and it didn’t work for us to multiples reasons… buuuut I am finding it is easier to implement as my kids get older. Once we have the reading and math basics down I see it working well for our family. My 6 yr old is learning to read now, taking it VERYyy slow.. but he is obsessed about learning about Megalodons lately.. was just thinking the other night I need to incorporate that and get more resources for him. Such a funny interest to have at six but also SO cool 😎

i think once you have basic principles down (reading and basic arithmetic) unschooling is very natural and easy! I love the seemingly random interests and obsessions. it's my favorite part. my nearly ten year old is back into dinosaurs suddenly, and Greek mythology. 😂
