I’ve followed you for a long time. Right when you were about to get married, you were super blonde , wore more makeup than you do now & I loved you then but I love this version too! I feel like you just just more down to earth, having children keeps you more low maintenance w/appearance and you seem healthy/happy inside and out. You’ve been fun to follow in each phase of your life 🩷
I’ve watched your videos since before you were engaged! I absolutely love your mind set now about leading a simpler life and keeping the kids off the internet, and think it’s so refreshing compared to many out there! I’m glad to hear though you love making videos and that’s now going away!
I don’t mean for this to sound weird but this is the closest I’ve ever felt to you…I am enjoying this version of you ❤ I have been watching you for years, watched your old channel and your vlog channel, and I feel the changes you have made since becoming a mother are commendable and I can really relate. I can relate to so much of what you talked about in this video - I have 2 boys, close in age to yours. Sending positivity and love your way, you got this girl! Xoxo
I’ve been following your content since the Michigan days. I’ve loved your channel then and I love it now. 💗 Your “rebrand” however has felt EXTREMELY relatable. I’ve really enjoyed the health and wellness content including exercise routines and grocery hauls/recipes. I’m a mama of 2 and also really love when you talk about mom life and the mom you envision to be! I’m totally on the same page as you. More focus on wellness and less on material items. Thank you for staying true to your passion. As a follower, it feels very genuine ❤
You're being so honest in this video, especially when you said that your other channel was getting too big and you want to know who you talk to. I was so pleasantly surprised when i responded to one of your IG stories and you replied ❤❤
A cozy little spot for inspiration and motivation is exactly what this new channel is for me! Thank for you still making videos!✨And I know the change has been God working in your heart and your life! 🤍
I've been following you for many years. You have blossomed into such a wise woman. I love your approach to work. It sounds like you really took inventory and removed all the noise and things that weren't serving you and your family. I think that takes a lot of courage and self-awareness! 👏
Thank you for sharing an honest view of a working mom and wanting to spend all your time with your kids, I relate so much to everything you said. It’s really hard when you’re in that fork in the road and deciding if you want to build this small business or keep it what it is and the guilt that comes along with both decisions. It’s so hard but I think you’re doing a great job and you guys are an inspiration to people like me!
@AlexGarza my first labor and delivery was similar to yours, very traumatic, struggled with PPD for 6 months after until I called the doctor and told them what was going on. Second labor and delivery experience was SO GOOD. Had an induction and epidural just like my first and everything about the second labor and delivery was SO redeeming and empowering! Absolutely fantastic. Made me understand why some women love having babies. 😂 Just wanted to say every L&D is different and your third has the same opportunity to be amazing! You’ll do great!!
I have watched you since your wedding and I was in high school. Now I’m also married with a daughter and have to say I have loved this new channel so much. I just feel like you seem relatable in a way I didn’t see for a few years in the middle. Nothing wrong with that! I just have loved the vibe of this new channel. 💗
I'm not a nurse but my first epidural did not work and I said I wasn't gonna get it with my second.. but then around 30 weeks getting closer to birth I decided I did want the epidural, and I had the most bliss experience ever. I cried tiers of joy, I loved every moment of the labor and delivery and was connected to the baby so much more during the whole process than my previous birth. wishing you a beautiful experience during birth!
So does this mean no Vlogmas? Say it isn't so! 😂 Maybe Michael could bend the rules and come back to vlogging just for December? Christmas content is so fun...gift lists, recipes, decorating. Again, just for December and then go back to the content you are now focused on. Just a thought.
As a Mama who's way down the road from where you are currently, I can say without a doubt ,your approach to the shift you've taken in your career will create the life you feel most proud. At the end of the day I've been much more content with the humans I helped set forth into the world than the work/job I did to get us all there and I loved my job and felt it was a vocation. Also as a retired nurse....because the epidural didn't work once doesn't mean it can't work this time. Good luck and all the prayers for a healthy delivery and baby boy!
You really seem to just be in the sweet spot in the balance of life that you have. I know we don’t see everything, but you seem to be living out your words 🧡 loving this new channel and seeing God’s hand in your life 🧡🧡🧡
I’ve followed you for years, I miss your clothing hauls but I totally understand your mindset now and wanting to be more present for your family, I’d feel the same way❤️
You are 100% right to focus on your pelvic floor and mobility stretching! I had a c section with my first bc my baby wasn't in the right position to come out vaginally. With my second I had an easy VBAC. With my second pregnancy I focused a ton on prenatal mobility, stretching and worked alot on moves that get your baby primed to get in the right position to come vaginally. And it made a huge difference. My second came out in 3 pushes. There are tons of IG videos on prenatal stretching. I did 10-15 a day during pregnancy and i truly believe that was the difference between having a csection the first time around and an easy VBSC the second. You can do it!
I’m right there with you when it comes to VBAC - I’m prepping to *hopefully* have one in January. I go back and forth a lot because in my specific situation my baby is breech and if she flips in time then I have a 30% success rate of VBAC. I love that you’re talking about it because I feel like a lot of women don’t.
I see so much depth to you, and it’s so beautiful and inspiring! It’s been a joy and blessing to see your journey all these years! I definitely hope to lean into this more for myself! God bless! 🤍
Hi Alex! I wanted to let me know that I love your new channel. I really resonate with the content. I also enjoy living a slower pace and laidback lifestyle. Holistic nutrition is also a passion of mine. I love how you focus on simple everyday stuff like cooking, health, causal fashion and family. It’s really relatable and I am inspired by it. ❤
The book “Natural Hospital Birth” equipped me so well for baby #2, my first experience was awful so reading that book almost helped me heal with giving me a bunch of info. I took the course “boob school” for learning everything about breast feeding and it was awesome, I’ve been able to share a lot of knowledge with my friends too! No matter what happens, God knows how it was all planned to begin with and he has his hands on everything ❤️ praying for you, baby and your family!
Girl you are speaking to me!!! For some reason in the beginning in 2024, I cold turkey deactivated all my social medias. I felt I was not being present, that’s the best way I could put it. It has been the best choice ever! I’ve bonded way more with my daughter and family. My career has excelled, and I have enjoyed new hobbies without the tick to post about them. I didn’t realize how much I enjoy my privacy. And when I meet up with a friend, we can actually chat about what’s going instead of “oh yeah, I saw that on instragram” Just my perspective! God bless your pregnancy, may everything go smoothly ❤️
I love what you said about a more simple life, totally agree! Also with kids and social media, it is such a different world today! You mentioned your house in Nashville being too big and overwhelming to keep up. We are in the process of building plans and that is my exact concern. Do you mind sharing the difference (size wise) with your Nashville house compared to your current one? I keep being pushed to go bigger and I’m nervous about it!
You and Michael are wise beyond your years. It can take so long to figure out what to prioritize in life and sometimes people end up with regrets as a result. We change and grow so much over a lifespan. We’re always changing! On a side note , I love your cardigan! Is it in your LTK?
As a long follower I'm not gonna lie at the beginning I felt sad and almost used cuz I was so used to being spoiled by your guys content but as time went on and I saw how horrible life online can be I totally understand your change. I'll continue to support as long as you guys post ❤
Hi Alex, I can totally relate where you mentioned it is harder for you to stay positive during pregnancy. We struggled for years to conceive, I am so so thankful that I am pregnant. It is mentally still challenging and I find it very overwhelming at times. I am going to do the Pain Free birth course, I have heard only wonderful things about it. 🥰
Wow. Thank you for being so honest about everything! It’s great to see you do what you truly want because it makes you happy. I will be honest, I miss your vlogs and loved watching them but I totally understand why you wouldn’t want to do them anymore. I’m so happy for you for following your heart! ❤
I am a long time subscriber and have always enjoyed the content you put out. I started watching your videos before I had kids, and now I have 3 of my own. I love this simpler version and I feel like I have grown with you! ❤
Hi Alex! I've been watching you for a while, probably since 2015 or 2016. I love that you are getting closer to God and allowing Him to move you and your intentions! I'm Catholic too, and it's nice to have Catholic content creators! Thank you for sharing that part of your life, and about your journey as a mom. I think I told you when you were pregnant with Julian that I read Ina May Gaskin's book about birth and it was neat, and eating dates can be helpful. I enjoyed going to the chiropractor in the last trimester of my pregnancies, and also doing pregnancy massage a couple of weeks before my due date. I also enjoyed going through labor and delivery without medication so I could feel closer to the process, if that makes sense. I had an unplanned C-Section the first time, and then my 2nd and 3rd were VBACs. They were such healing experiences for me! But, certainly you have to do what's right for you in that time (medication wise)! I love so much that you are feeling much better in your own skin, and I think that comes from a growing relationship with Christ. ❤🥰 Sending love from Ohio❤
Longtime viewer here Your videos are what hooked me and why I keep coming back. You are an inspiration!! Regarding your epidural experience, I had a similar experience where it didn't work for my first, but it DID work for my second! Praying for a smooth and amazing delivery!!
I have been a long time subscriber like before you and Michael got married and lived in Tennessee. This video is so relatable. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with your viewers. Prayers for a safe pregnancy 🤰
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21 So proud of what the Lord has done through you and you’re sharing about it. ❤ keep shining His light 🤍
I had 2 failed epidurals. I have 4 kids. My 3rd was natural birth and my 4th was a c section. I found it pointless to ask and I just got into the mindset of … “ my body is meant for this, it’s going to hurt but it’s temporary.” I worked on focusing techniques.. covering my eyes with a towel. I told my husband if I start to lose it that I needed him to whisper into my ear to tell me I’m ok, to be still and breathe. It’s a matter of focusing on what you have to do rather than the pain. You know it’s going to hurt but .. the more you concentrate and listen to your body, the faster you can push the baby out. The craziest thing is your body is going to do it on its own. Just breathe.
To be honest, I really love this. I feel like when I first started following you I felt a vibe where I was afraid you would become like a lot of other influencers. Influencers now these days are very much $$$$ and I don’t really like that. I feel like this is the most genuine you can be and I appreciate that. Love this Alex🩷 Sending love from Michigan🫶🏼
Alex Ive been following you since your engaged days I found you then because I was also getting married around the same time. Loved your content through all of the phases in life and as a mom to 2 myself now I resonate even more with this version of you. I like how calm and living in the moment you are. I admire your growth as a mother. As a mother to another you are doing amazing and I'm so happy for you and Michael welcoming your 3rd baby soon. Congratulations 🎉
I just had a baby a few months back and my epidural failed as well. I think it’s not common for it to fail, but that sheer panic you feel when you’re expecting to get it and know you’re gonna have to do it without it is whew!
I’m happy that you are happy with a simpler life and fully support your decision of not showing your kids online. Totally get the closing down of your other businesses to make time for your family. I would have done the same… I’m a mama of 2 boys as well and completely understand. I won’t lie to you, what a I was a bit dissapointed in was the fact that you kind of gave up on yourself… from the outside you seemed a bit depressed and maybe needed help. I hope you got it! I follow you since before you got married and loved your content, even when it wasn’t beauty related. Unfortunately, these days it’s like you are a complete stranger online. I tend to follow people I relate to or that inspire me. Sadly, I don’t think I feel that connection anymore and it’s nobody’s fault. You are happy and that’s what matters at the end of the day. I wish you the best of luck, Health and happiness for you and your family. 🫶🏼
Love the chatty videos so much! I have been a fallower for a while and watched your beautiful family grow. So excited for baby boy. Had to share with you, I have 3 kiddos, 1st had with an epidural other 2 completely natural. 😬 I have to honestly say my 2nd and 3rd were better without it, though I did experience the pains of labor, it felt allot more natural and my body did what it was suppose to do. Also, my delivery was allot faster with baby #3. I know this is not tge same for every woman, but just wanted to share with you. Prayer is what got me through it all. God will be with you. Continue to lean on him.
I have 3 kids. My 1st born was natural birth, 2nd one I took the epidural and it did not work for me, and my last baby I took it and it worked. I say take it bc every pregnancy is different. By the way, I love this new version of you. I see growth and a changed woman. As we get older, we are constantly evolving and changing, so that’s great! Keep it up mama! Miss the family a ton.
A few months back, I took a walk in the cemetery near the old neighborhood and noticed your grandparents names. I’m so sorry for you and your family’s losses. Then your new RU-vid channel popped up on the algorithm. I don’t believe in coincidences because the video was the announcement of baby #3. I take it as a sign they are saying 👋! Best wishes to you, Michael, Julian, Rocco and new baby boy!
That Prada bumbag was so well suited for your kick around Florida life. If you didn’t sell it I hope to see some pregnancy style with it later on. Thank you for all your videos over the years. Please release the travel vlogs again before kids. You guys were so cute back in the day
Love this new chapter for you. I’ve been a follower since your wedding days and I have always felt such a pull towards your content and personality. Love that you are listening to your inner voice and following your path. ❤
I did a hypnobirthing course before I had my daughter and it helped my mindset SOOO MUCH!!! It helped me stay positive and work through the contractions! Couldn’t recommend it more!
I used the Positive Birth Company for a birth course- it was reasonably priced and it’s all videos to listen to. Definitely talks about what is happening in your body and has made me feel confident that I know what is happening. It is focused on unmedicated birth route but either way it could be helpful tools through labor
Great video! I have the same sentiments as you as far as gender. I have three girls and wouldn’t know what to do if I had a boy! I did have an epidural for all three and it was the best decision I ever made for myself. I was relaxed and able to concentrate on pushing and being present when they were born. Maybe they gave you the epidural too late in the process or the strength was not enough for you? You can try discussing with your doctor to get more info and their input. Anyway, congrats on the pregnancy..so very exciting!
Yes! I have a boy and girl, and it really is like learning to be a new parent (with my son since I was a girl mom first). I really wanted another girl because of that reason, I knew how to be a girl mom. Boys are on a whole other level lol but of course I love it and it’s teaching me so much about myself and makes me learn and grow out of my comfort zone.
With both of my births I had an epidural and they both failed unfortunately. Not sure how common it is. Praying for a quick and easy birth and recovery for you, Alex! Love all of your videos!
I would suggest looking into hypnobirthing. It was transformative. My first birth was so difficult and painful. Second was at home no pain mgmt and was only 2 hrs active because I was so relaxed and in a better mindset overall. I actually enjoyed my second labour. Good luck! ❤
You should try a doula! She would be by your side at the hospital, coaching you through the entire thing. I’m so excited for you and your family growing. ❤
@@AlexandreaGarza2 Highly recommend a doula! At my last birth my husband and doula were key to getting me through my labor. They both played such different roles during my labor but I can tell you that I couldn't have done it without both of them there!
I’m not a nurse or anything but when I had my first my epi only took to half my body so they came and did it again and then it worked. I didn’t feel anything at all. lol. Looking back I’d say I’d make sure to tell them that I don’t want students doing the epi. Just to be sure it’s someone who’s more experienced with it. ❤ I’m praying it’ll all go smoothly for you and baby 3. FYI with my second I had no time for an epi. I was 9 cm dialated and ready to push when I finally made it to triage. My contractions were only one minute apart from the very onset of labor. It was wild. One push and he was out. It’s almost better that way. 😅
So talking about mental issues during your pregnancy i have to relate, both my pregnancy i was down bad it probably was i had horrible morning sickness but one thing i did change for my second was learning how to say no to things i didnt want and stand by ground and omg it prevented me forsure from having depression after birth. I told my self you are first because that baby needs a happy healthy mommy and i achieved 😅it at least i think so. I expressed how i was feeling without remorse 😂im so happy i did
I had two vaginal but my second I had affirmations, and music, and like you talked about I really tried to mentally prepare - it was just such a wonderful experience. Totally different then the first!!
I’m not a doctor nor a nurse. However, I got an epidural with all 3 of my kids and with the first 2, it worked beautifully! However, with my third, it only numbed half my body so I could feel it on the other side still. However, I told the doctor that and the anesthesiologist came back and gave me more and then it was fine.. I wonder if that’s something you can just ask for more of?
I will say I do miss your vlogs a lot!!! But I totally understand where you are coming from and respect that! ❤ Do you feel like you made more money from RU-vid doing vlog style videos rather than your channel now?
