This film features plenty of vintage buses in action in Quorn and Loughborough at the Quorn & Woodhouse Bus & Rail Event. A large variety of buses ran trips to Loughborough, Barrow upon Soar and a Charnwood Forest Circular Tour. There was also an opportunity to visit the Great Central Railway with an enhanced timetable operating.
On a lovely sunny day plenty of visitors attended and there were also a number of sales stalls in the station yard. Special thanks to the volunteers at the Great Central Railway and Leicester Transport Heritage Trust for their hard work in bringing us this event and to all the bus and vehicle owners.
The film starts with the buses arriving at the start of the day. We see 190, 217, 240, 225, RCT3 and 50 enter the station yard and after 301 departs others arrive along Woodhouse Road.
At 6.00 Chesterfield JRA 635 can be seen parking in the station yard.
At 8.26 onwards the action moves to Loughborough where 50, 217, 190 and RCT3 head for the Great Central Station.
We then go back to Quorn and see a number of buses departing and arriving back from tours.
At 15.05 we move to Woodhouse Road and begin to see buses leaving including JRA 635, NNN 7M and many others.
The film concludes back at Quorn with 301 and 100 departing on a tour and OVL 473 leaving the station yard.
