Il sera après guerre, président de la première et de la deuxième assemblée nationale constituante. Après 1947 jusqu'en 1954, il est le premier président de la République française (IVe République). Gaston Cusin quant à lui est l'un des initiateurs avec Pierre Cot ministre de l'Air et Jean Moulin, son directeur de cabinet de la politique de "non-intervention relachée", afin de faire parvenir tout de même du matériel et des armes aux Républicains espagnols. Et puis pourquoi nous parle-t-on toujours des 17 octobre 1961 ou du 8 février 1962, pourquoi ne pas évoquer les morts de la rue d'Isly le 26 mars 1962, ou les anciens combattants tués par les forces de l'Ordre le 6 février 1934. Il y avait des anciens combattants communistes de l'ARAC dans cette manifestation.

um, no you're quite wrong there. the US experienced the "war on independence," "the war of 1812" and the "Civil War," all of which occurred on US soil. .. no one denies the bravery of frenchies who continued to fight nazis after capitulation, but that does VERY little to hide the humiliating defeat and years of collaboration. Who cares what happened at verdun, We're all wondering why France capitulated so quickly and easily, while her ally Britain pledged to fight "to the end" and "Never surrender," as Churchill said.

And when you talk of the "war on independence," "the war of 1812" and the "Civil War, it's really close to a joke. What were these 2 wars, compared to more of 1500 years of military warfare. Through centuries, the French won alone against entire coalitions more wars and battles than all western nations put together. This, when US were still a desert populated by Indian nations. Dead, wounded, missing. @@tua09769 Concerning collaborators, they were only a part of the French. Some rotten politicians and dozens thousands Nazi afficionados. For real collaborators, have rather a look on deviant criminal Yugoslavian or Hungarian collaborators, who committed the worst atrocities. The French who fought on the Allied side were the majority, and most average French of this time were above all concerned in finding something to eat and survive.
