The fusion dish nobody asked for, but here it is regardless.
RÖSTI INGREDIENTS:
Potatoes
Salt
Black pepper
Garlic
PROCEDURE:
1 - Wash potatoes, place in a pot, cover with water, bring to a boil and count 10 minutes - drain, let it cool down, place in the fridge overnight;
2 - Peel and grate potatoes (using the coarse side), season with salt, pepper and grated garlic (or with other kinds of seasonings) and mix;
3 - Heat up a non-stick skillet, add lard or the fat of your choice (with the exception of butter), scatter the potato shreds around, press with spatula, cover and keep it on medium heat until the bottom is brown;
4 - With the help of a plate or a cutting board, flip the rösti (add more fat if you need or want to);
5 - If you stopped right here, you’d have a delicious rösti once the other side becomes brown.
PIZZA SAUCE:
Tomato passata (or crushed tomatoes)
Salt
Olive oil
Red chili flakes
PROCEDURE:
1 - Combine everything.
PIZZA TOPPINGS:
Anything your little heart desires.
RÖSTI PIZZA PROCEDURE:
1 - Once flipped, dress the pizza according to your taste and liking;
2 - Cover the skillet with a lid and keep it on medium heat until the cheese is melted and/or the bottom is crispy.
