3:23 “I wanna live, I wanna die..I want to thank myself for getting out.” I was in my deepest depression and lost 50 lbs and many, including family, couldn’t resist the human element to kick me while I was down. I never got a helping hand but I got out of it. I considered taking my life but I somehow got out of it idk how…but I take pride in crediting only myself for it. That accomplishment is MINE. Not to make this depressing but bipolar/depression is real. Lacking empathy can help take a life away. Be kind to others even if you don’t understand. Dope track for real Rufus is the greatest!

This is one of my favorite Rufus songs. It's an incredibly emotional song that brings chills every time I hear it. I just recently saw Rufus live in Chicago and when they played this song it was a very powerful moment. I cant thank them enough for the music they make and how they have affected mine and my fiance's life.

I saw them a day before I left for Peru in 2019. I would listen to this on repeat before I left for a 9 day trek - the Choquequirao Route - up to Machu Picchu. When I returned to my hostel, a private room for a change, I danced to this first. I couldn’t tell you if I had headphones or what but it was a life changing experience. I’m so lucky that I feel music on another level of consciousness. Thanks for taking me there.

this same thing happened to me in the late summer of 2020 when all hell was going on all over world and in the streets and subways (I got stories ) and the☀ poured into my room. I was looking at the Jashuah Tree film Rufus Du Sol did in the desert and I something came over me and just started to whirl around the room in the ☀and💦s started falling from my eyes but wasn't sad ones, they were ethereal 💧s the kind that cleanse i suppose. I had Never heard of this group before and I was on another level or channel here. My God, now this is church for me . True to its lyrics, I can say beyond any reasonable doubt that this song took me to another place. To think that if I haven't decided to explore Rufus' music beyond Innerbloom.... things just happen for a reason. A hunch lead me here and that hunch has not let me down.
