JAMAR & BRAND NUBIAN played at the Brixton Academy London 1994...In God We Trust tour. The place was pure hip hop King Kong atmosphere all night. Dudes fighting outside & inside, fireworks & flame throwers, smoke bombs letting off. I was 23 at the time and witnessed a legendary night in hiphop history. He does anything to put eminem down. I saw an interview where he said why would I listen to a guy who constantly talks about killing his ex wife. Let's break this down. Eminem has at the very, very least 100 songs (I've low balled that down loads), you have the songs: kim, 97 bonnie and clyde, puke and what's the difference. I've probably missed a few (let's say I've missed 6 for safe keeping) That makes 10% of his music about killing his ex wife, and jamar is saying that's the only thing he talks about.. 10%... Peace. “Knowledge Knowledge” DOES NOT mean PEACE. Knowledge Knowledge is 11 in Supreme Mathematics. Lord Jamar got that idea from a plus lesson called The 12 Jewels and the 11th Jewel is PEACE. We in the Five Percent Nation do not necessarily apply our Supreme Mathematics to the 12 Jewels. Because the Supreme Mathematics was compiled by ALLAH, the man himself who founded our nation, already BEFORE the 12 Jewels were even compiled. They came later and some in our nation advocate them, some don’t. This is not to knock anybody, this is only for proper understanding to be what?? UNDERSTOOD. We in the Five Percent Nation do not greet each other with “Knowledge Knowledge” we greet and leave each and one another with PEACE. With that, I say PEACE.

Brother I think lord Jamar's points are: 1) Hip Hop was started by black people 2) Just because you can rhyme better doesn't make you greater 3) As black people we should decide who the kings/queens of hip hop are 4) The Greatest is based more on impact over record sales as plently of other rappers who are wack have gone platinum So by those points stated I don't feel eminem should take offence when being referred to as a "Quest" in HipHop.

@Jason Borotra When it comes to disrespect, Jamar has shown that towards eminem, but lets not act like we don't know why, its cause of the PEDESTAL they put him on, and the fact that most will crown him king due to record sales when other artist have had a bigger impact..... I live in Poland, so in a country that's 99,5% white (in my city of 40k people there was one brother living here that I saw less then 5 times about 10 years ago) so of course all the rappers will be white. There will be a black rapper that spits in polish, but that hasn't happened yet as far as I know (so if one exists, he isn't even mediocore) and I listen to underground artists that give their mixtapes or even digital albums for free (you can name your price, 0$ being the lowest, so they are more church than the actual Catholic Church hehe) just to get their stuff to public for promotion. If it sticks then they sign to someone with good reputation, or go independent. In Poland most rappers choose the former, because of budget for videos, and they earn the most cash just like musicians of all genres in general - through touring, and by getting views they sell more tickets. I don't want to diss my fellow Poles, cause even the famous rappers have to bust their asses, and that's when industry offers them sweet deals or they open independent merch stores. Business plan for artists that blow enough is making poor to mediocore quality t-shirts and merch and selling them for 2-3x the times the good brand (Adidas, Nike, Puma etc.) t-shirt cost. Some people who stopped being affiliated with some of those musicians say that they buy the cheapest merch and choose the cheaper option for printing names/slogans etc. + they shame less fortunate kids for not having official merch stamp... I mean come on, sometimes people want to share their favorite musicians and buy their shirt on a flea market for exactly the price it should go for. I listen to black metal and I pay 20-45 zł for official merch, and those "rappers" start their prices at 89zł... By the way most of them started on the streets, without a dime for anything fancy and they start acting like vultures, promoting their independent official stores with (confirmed) blank t-shirts from China bought in bulk and laser printed logos.

@stuartbraddy1687

jjsvizard75 I hear u and partly correct. It’s a choice on vlads part to dwell Eminem. Jamar likes to talk about it cus he don’t like Eminem like I don’t anymore but as he keeps stating , it’s vlad that blew that up and make a thing out of it. Eminem knows this but I believe understands the power of vlad so hits back at lord jamar instead. Jamars bin said , change the record. Its not just about Eminem. It’s about culture culture and people being genuine to themselves. I think there were much bigger targets then Eminem for that topic. Vlad chose to make it about em cus he the biggest star and jamar the guy being paid to be interviewed is gonna answer them questions. And why shouldn’t he. He of all people should have a right to talk on that. More then a right , a duty. He’s very brave ( or on come down from strong weed ) to sit there and air this stuff out which has been purposely made Socially sensitive. Respect jamar. Love this guy !! Purely for that. Not even about his past but his past gave him the ability to speak on that stuff with some degree of understanding. Choices .... felling ..... the machines that drive your feelings and actions !! This is all real stuff we as humans should all be aware of. This is the magic about Jamar , forget Eminem. That’s vlads domain. Jamars about the truth. He sadly seems very one sided towards what he describes as “ his own people “. I think this is a shame. I feel as the person I am I would be considered one of his “people”. Sad to think because of my colour I could never be .... unless I had financial gains for him in some way. I feel he for the sake of cashing that check with his morals intact he loosely considers vlad a friend. I think tho if that friendship was put to the test outside of financial gain , it wouldn’t be so strong. I’m right , I know I am. Ps , I find some of the vlad , lord j interviews some of the best I’ve seen. Interestingly tho jamar in his own platform not so much and vlad interviewing someone I dislike , no. Flyting is a ritual, poetic exchange of insults practised mainly between the 5th and 16th centuries. Examples of flyting are found throughout Norse, Celtic,[5] Old English and Middle English literature involving both historical and mythological figures. The exchanges would become extremely provocative, often involving accusations of cowardice or sexual perversion. Norse literature contains stories of the gods flyting. For example, in Lokasenna the god Loki insults the other gods in the hall of Ægir. In the poem Hárbarðsljóð, Hárbarðr (generally considered to be Odin in disguise) engages in flyting with Thor.[6] In the confrontation of Beowulf and Unferð in the poem Beowulf, flytings were used as either a prelude to battle or as a form of combat in their own right.[7] In Anglo-Saxon England, flyting would take place in a feasting hall. The winner would be decided by the reactions of those watching the exchange. The winner would drink a large cup of beer or mead in victory, then invite the loser to drink as well. =rap is white

Like as in you play that in ya car n work out too I feel you talking because he’s got you on a track with other artiest you respect and consider hip hop. I don’t know the scratch or the track but so far 4 min in I could have write this. Lord jamar isn’t into white rap. It’s not that he isn’t into white people or is racist it’s just in order to pull this shit off it’s got to be genuine to you. When jay rapped the evils it sounded genuine as he was rappin wat he was living and it was super cool n slick. I got to say for me Slick and cool wins over content even. You need to be credible. I’m not saying you need dark skin to do this but there is something about white people performing in a black genre that odd to me and the oddness I’m sure is rooted in disingenuousness. Eminem I actually thinks pretty cool. Like jamar says his style jusy got old but was cool when it first dropped and he was believable for who he presented. I’ve never looked at Eminem as somebody “acting black “ either. His style simply got old and re done to much. He was never cool either. I’d go so far to say Eminem’s music should be in its category infact like mj and price. It’s fits with rap and hip hop yes but delivered different. Delivered from the perspective of an extreme underdog with hate and his fuel. It was never about cool factor so much. So rugged man. Your word are worthy but you arnt the one to deliver. We already got krs 1 and lord j is keeping things exposed just nice. Your much likeable in this interview tho with the normal cloths. It’s cus you was with lord j. Juan Barahona you wrote about 9 words and all u heard was black and white. Are u serious? Yes white rap. It’s like black rap only less effective. My point being , raps a genre that’s typically expressed by the underprivileged who are dragged up or bring them selves up in low income/zero income projects in the Weston world. Almost like slums in India only these areas exist in the Weston world where they see mostly white people with ownership and opportunity. Yes , I’ll say it again. White rap. Yes , serious. Not the best of descriptions I admit. I was rushing to make my point. I was ordinarily calling it imitation rap which was more fitting. You can have real white rappers. I believe Eminem is possibly one. It still sounds diffrent to black rap. I can hear the difference in a white rapper to black rapper instantly just by hearing it. Eminem scrapes into the genre of genuine rap maybe. Not this ra tho I doubt !! It’s probably over your head tho bud. Just leave it n go have a pop tart “ yo yo , ra the hella truth homie, word up , he old skool , one of the goats” Give me a break. Everything about this guy is clown like. Is nobody seeing these faces he’s pulling in videos or how he dresses or the words he raps. Liam !! Only other white rappers would like this I’m sure. Culture vulturing to the max Rap , true rap comes from place of disadvantage. Even comedy rap isn’t rap to me. It’s imitation. This should be simple. If u don’t get it you probably never will
