Claudette is a gem for how she handled Chrisette and Lil Mo! I'm no fan of Chante's personality at times, but I hate how Chrissette and especially Lil Mo- who had 4 kids and 2 divorces at the time- made Chante's personal issues about themselves. That wasn't cool.
Love Claudette. What is it about the US black culture where younger people expect those older than they are to 'respect' them with the respect they don't afford others. The most disrespectful people are the youngest Lil Mo and Chrisette (Claudette the exception). Chrisette likes to lead and is a stirrer that likes to pretend she's coming from a place of liking and considering Chante when the reality is that she wants to lead others into gossiping about her, and turning against her. While Lil Mo holds grudges and pretends to be a friend.
They needed a choreographer to learn some basic dance moves? The Puerto Rico song didn't require much movement. Chrisette Michele's knees were knocking. Watching this back, I feel like the women was making an issue with Chante. Chrisette was upset about Chante not confiding in her about what she was going through with her custody case. What Chante was going through was personal. Why would she tell her anything about that? She had her actual friends to confide in.
I saw where Chrisette was coming from. They already had a bad experience when Chante offered them “features” in her song. Those were not even features; they were more like background vocals. It came across like she was nervous that they would overshadow her on her own song. That was very misleading and a slap in the face to the ladies. Then she gave them those unprofessional agreements which did not read well at all either. Chante was kinda rude during the rehearsal. When Chrisette told her that she wasn’t able to do the suggested move that she tried to add, Chante completely ignored her concerns and made it all about herself; basically saying that if she could do it, then Chrisette should be able to do it too. Mind you, Chrisette is thicc and Chante is more on the slender side, so Chrisette might have a harder time doing that move in those tall, skinny heels. It was just very inconsiderate on Chante’s part. Also, I didn’t like that she tried to add in new moves when she missed two days. I get that she was dealing with her court situation but she didn’t even see the full choreo yet and she already wanted to have control. At the dinner, Chante’s attitude was very stank imo. The other ladies joined together for their song and Chante was making stank faces acting like she was too good to participate. Mind you she didn’t have to participate; that wasn’t the issue. It was the fact that she was giving them dirty looks. It was obvious that she couldn’t wait for them to finish their song so she could have the spotlight all to herself 🙄
Chante is just too mature for the rest of the females. So they take her mature energy as she thinks she is better. The ones who complained about it don't understand. I get chante energy.
