R.C. Sproul: The Glory of God Through Man 

I only have a 10th grade education, but our God was merciful and gracious enough to give me a crystal clear understanding to appreciate a lofty doctrine like Solteiology, by a renowned theological professor! (How cool is that?!) 🙏😄✝️

It's thanks to visiting my local PCA congregation that I heard about Ligonier Ministries. As an Anglican with Calvinist sympathies, this ministry has been an excellent resource.

The chief purpose of man's life: for the glory of God and enjoy him forever. Mankind is Called to live all our life before the face of God, in the presence of God beneath the authority of God for the glory of God

A good preacher must have a wide knowledge of various subjects,RC is one of them

I agree we are to Glorify God in the sense that we imitate and "show" Him, but I also believe we Glorify God by Magnifying Him, that is seeing, savoring and enjoying Him, and showing to others His "Worth".

Mankind the crowning act of creation, the image of God! The purpose of our creation doesnt rest in tue 6day but on the 7day, where God rested and made holy the seventh day...Man is meant to go into the seventh day and be holy! The seven day is his perfection! He doesn't creat us to shine his glory but also to represent his sovereignty infront of the creation!

I love this man, one of my favorites. I do want to say though that Eve was not part of the naming of the animals. That took place just before her creation. She was created because after Adam found no companion, God made Eve. Genesis 2:18-23 KJVS [18] And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. [19] And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. [20] And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. [21] And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; [22] And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. [23] And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. This is not a rebuke, I don’t think for a second this error was made intentionally. It is an error though and error must be corrected.

God didn’t have to rest on the 7th day .... he’s GOD ..... He was setting examples for us ....

I really liked the 3 legged stool of God - truth, goodness and beauty and that we are to reflect those qualities. So, when we go to church, dressed like we are going to the beach, does that reflect the beauty of God? When we are slovenly, in our home, yard and appearance, we do not reflect the beauty of God. Of course, some jobs will get you messy, but to embrace messiness is another thing. Interesting.....our culture has embraced ugliness as you see what people have done to themselves.

The Sabbath Day is still holy onto the LORD; & no the Messiah did NOT rise from the grave on the 1st day of the week. A closer study of the Word of God in the NT with the inauguration of the Passover in the book of Exodus clears it all up. "Let him who has ears to hear, hear".
