Look, I’ve worked at no-kill animal shelter for years. You can’t ask volunteers to give out or adopt out pets as they don’t have the power or the authority to do so. Besides, once an animal is adopted, they are no longer property of that shelter. Also, you don’t demand anyone to give you the pet they legally adopted just because you want it. That’s like taking someone’s child. By the way, choosing beggar, if you have a problem with not getting the pet you wanted, then why are you complaining to a volunteer and not the shelter staff?

I’d be fine with dumpster diving if it actually netted a worthwhile amount, but 30 bucks is not worthwhile. The danger you’d be putting yourself in from cutting yourself on glass or rusty metal, not to mention diseases you could get from doing this is not worth such a paltry amount.

Also, in retail you have to go by the price on the till because sometimes customers come in and deliberatly switch the prices to try and get reduced stuff. It sucks, but ya have to deal with it. Well, I don't anymore since I'm in a different line of work now. But you could literally see customers switching the tickets sometimes and demanding a discount. Or bringing in expired coupons with the date clearly printed on them and wondering why I couldn't accept it. Failing to realise that if I did accept it, the till would be out at the end of day (it would be down the amount the discount that I applied), and that would lead to mega problems with area managers and big bosses getting involved. Nope, not worth it. Also, in that particular place it was also a problem if a customer said 'keep the change'. No, ma'am can't do that. It ain't my money and the company can't take it either, so it royally messes everything up. One time a customer was super pushy about it and really rude. I tried to tell them why I couldn't accept it, thankfully my manager stepped in and said we can just donate the money to the charity box so no one gets into trouble.

Chunkboi, no. Usually I don't travel with any of my pets and try to find a pet sitter instead. They don't travel well as one of my dogs has bad anxieties and the other has motion sickness. I've never tried to bring my bearded dragon anywhere though as he tends to be skittish in and having a bolting lizard is not a fun thing.

I got a black fluffy cat too. She's my precious "Angel" I call her Angel because I love her but she's really territorial and does not get along with other pets. She refuses to share me. Anyways, her name is actually Phoebe, after my favorite character on Charmed and because Phoebe is a small bird. My cat is very vocal and makes these chirpy sound that sounds like a small bird. I rescued her when she was a wee tiny kitten from some kids who came by the house asking if i could keep the kitten at my place so they could come by everyday to play with her. Their mom was making them get rid of her. I saw these kids put Phoebe as a kitten on the roof of the second story window and leave her to bake in the sun for HOURS just baking in the sun! I took her inside but did not let those children visit her. They already told me their mom ordered them to find the kitten a home or she would take her to a shelter, I was not intimidated by their threats of getting their mom to let them see the kitten. So yeah, that's how I ended up with my cat. She's a pampered Queen at 9 years old now. I keep her inside so she doesn't get run over by cars, or stolen, or sacrificed based on her fur color.

@@kingsheikh625 What if she was saving the money to take a trip with her kids? Or maybe just in case something bad happened to their family and they needed the money? And at least she's actually feeding her kids, it didn't sound like the husband was doing anything.
