i have a similar rig, and none of the friends I (barely have) cared bout it, i meet gamers here and there and tell them I have a cool sim setup but I'm still alone, and no one wants to be apart of my life and try the cool things ive wasted my money and life on.
it’s crazy how far technology has come to the point where you can realistically practice driving in the comfort of your own room and gain experience without even driving a real car and then going out on the road and actually driving with the knowledge and experience you have on a simulator. absolutely beautiful
The movement on that rig is incredible ! I have built my own rig taken me a few years to complete from first prototype but just in the stages of final product. I'm using pagnian next level motion v2 platform (affordable for the average joe) and have customised everything else. For a home made rig mine is great but that thing you have is awesome! The movement is incredible. Nice job man 👍
he probably has it set to fixed camera. Otherwise it would be so hard to race fast especially if that's what you're used to. I'm pretty sure that view we saw is what he saw as well. Otherwise the game would have to generate it two different ways.
Bongo The Gipsy , He has the camera locked, as his head wasnt moving too much in that Rig. He could have it unlocked and added the REPLAY from Inside the Car from the Reply.. This game is VR is amazing .... TRUST ME ;)

When I was a kid playing Mario Andretti racing on my dad's 386 PC, I never would have imagined THIS would become a thing within only 20 years. Incredible.
This is pretty much a better idea than a real car. This set up might be expensive but he can drive any car on any road. He can drive one of a kind cars that no one is allowed to drive in real life and he can do it for cheaper than a regular econo car. This set up might cost what, about 10k? Not many fast cars irl that you can get for 10k.
0:48 I don't know what kind of simulator is that, but your seat should move with steering wheel...not like this way. It's like driving rally a car without bucked seat and even seatbelt :D
This idea must help driving schools, no crash no fine but good experience. You should improve this technology for each kind of vehicles, specially for our beautiful Bangladesh, famous for traffic jam, hahahah
In reality, this guy is sitting on a chair when his friend is hidden underneath it, pushing and rocking the chair. He is also doing the co-driver directions through a plastic cup. The driver is wearing 2 toiletpaper rolls on his eyes. The handbrake is fabricated out of a wrench and a dildo. His father is revving his car for sound effects and he watches a playtrough on youtube on his tablet. Fuck my life...
when driving on speed im not flying away from my steering, they are preety much synced, the whole 'seat moving from the wheel' could impact turns ingame negatively
When the rear of the car breaks lose then the seat travels a larger way than the steering wheel, because the steering wheel is closer the center of rotation. Image a car from above doing some donuts. The seat is moving in bigger circles then the steering wheel
so you mean it is part of the simulation ? i imagine it feeling weird in contrast to a real car where your seating positions is locked with the pedal- and steeringposition.
Tbh that looks kinda scary, from what i experienced in DiRT 3/4 VR, The car is shaky, unstable and looks like it will fall off any second. Anyway, opinions aside, great rig!
