They sound so good still. And Michael’s voice is still so solid. There’s a vulnerability there that made me very emotional. Why can’t they just be like The Rolling Stones and play till they’re dead?
So moving to hear them play it “in the raw”-acoustically, with no amplification. Michael’s voice, unaccompanied, was all the more vulnerable and therefore poignant. I think he too was overcome by emotion as he sang this particular song again as a 64 y o man now-40 years since he first shared it. Bravo!
