Thanks for your review on this album Ross. Don’t go back to Rockville is one of my favourite songs from the “early years “ my favourite album is still Out of time.
Nice review Ross, and it was interesting to hear about some of the background to the tracks. Murmur also seemed to get a bit more filler-y on side 2. REM strike me as a band that are fond of slipping into a kind of autopilot 'by numbers' approach, and it's interesting that they were already doing it on their first couple of albums.
