R.I.P Jason Damron, legendary voice of The Storyteller Memory for Another Day - Storyteller Memorial www.nexusmods.... R.I.P The Storyteller Memorial in Fallout 4 #fallout #fallout4
RIP Jason. I am listening to one of the videos he voiced, narrated. It's about the evil of Vault Tec. I'm sorry to his family and friends. I am a huge fan, he has one of those really great voices.
Knowing that he won't be around anymore to keep telling stories is a punch in the gut. His lore videos helped me get into Fallout. I hope the community keeps telling his stories for many days to come
In my experiance, the worst thing about someone dying is that we stop talking about them. We no longer call there name. Yell, fight, love, ask for advise or just shot the s**t. But telling stories of those we have lost keep those memories alive in our hearts and minds. I have not played Fallout since before covid. Just never saw I mod I wanted to play till this one. Thanks for sharing.

Man, it's been rough for me since July. I had been binging Shoddycast since I've been home off ship. I just found out today that he passed. This feels like such a kick in the balls. Mitten Squad, now The Storyteller. Rest easy, buddy.
Surprisingly never actually knew the guy, but sure will leave a lot of people with heart broken for a while. RIP. I will even check his content later, seemed like a nice guy to go away so early
Without Jason Damron/The Storyteller I don't think I would have gotten so invested on Fallouts World, Lore and Stories. The storyteller videos show how important stories are and that everyone has a story worth telling whether it was big or small. He had incredible way to share stories and bring them to alive. Now it's our turn to tell his story for anyone who would listen. R.I.P.
I remember watching ShoddyCast's Storyteller series regularly back at 2016 onwards.. Jason's voice was synonymous with Fallout lore to me, and allowed so many of us to be absorbed into the post-nuclear world. May he Rest in Peace :c
And thus, the Storyteller presence vanished in the wasteland. Many of those who encountered the wandering duo found themselves questioning where could they have been, there had been many speculations, but none were sure. But, his adventures and tell-tales all around the lands have been known, recorded, and witnessed by many. His unique black power armor and his eyebot companion, were not to be seen anymore. Even so, the days go by as usual throughout the barren wasteland, the breezing dust storms and its usual but unknown danger continues on. But the stories brought by the black-power armored individual, talkative as the man was, brought many interesting things to know about. And with that, legends and rumors roamed around because of it. His name, his true one hidden. But one name known to all, the "The Storyteller", is immortalized. And for that, the wasteland, is forever changed...
This is what the Fallout games, and now media, are to me. I'll loop Skyrim, and the other Elder Scroll games I haven't played, in there as well, as their way of just letting you create your own experience in the game is what keeps me coming back to it. And then we have things like this, where one person's experience touches others to the point it becomes a part of their experience. Different tales of the wastelands, all converging upon one person, The Storyteller. These games are an experience, storytelling in the best way imaginable. Let's all mourn a well spoken man who gave us entertainment and a reason to delve into the Fallout world. RIP, may your story remain for another 200 years.
From the Boneyards of California to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts he shared his stories to those who listened and now we will tell the denizens of the Wasteland the story of the Storyteller, a proud paladin of the Brotherhood of Steel and a great man. May his memory remain with us through the stories he told. Rest in peace Storyteller and thank you🫡
the saddest thing is about the Storyteller is that we knew nothing about him... and now we never will... but then again if we had to do it all over again I don't think we'd change anything, as that's a story for another day RIP Jason Damron
The story teller,I love this guy so much man raven can’t you imagine fallout franchise without him Narration making everything mythical and legendary Contributed more than imaginable.. and now :(( Rest in peace legend
I just started a new FO4 play though. I normally take Curie as my companion because she's so damn cute, but I think she'll understand if I download the mod and take the Storyteller with me this time.
he will be missed . he made such a profound impact on the fallout community and brought all together. he helped mold the future of of many who fell in-love with fallout. but as He would say that my friends is a story for another day.
It is sad he's no longer with us, but like Mat Pat in Game Theory, perhaps he wants us to continue telling these stories. Like him we can be collectors of stories and knowledge. Let's carry on his legacy, waste landers, and always have a story for another day.
I get you're trying to be nice but matpat stepping down from his channel while still working in the background is way different from one of Fallouts most beloved creators passing from cancer. One guy basically retired while still getting the bag while the other died from a horrible deadly disease. I understand your main point was trying to keep his stories to continue but the comparison to matpat was inaccurate and unnecessary.
OH no I'm just finding out about this now? when how? How sad the storyteller is gone but never forgotten. Its up to us to pass his story alone. We are all now his storyteller.
We will remember the storyteller even us the enclave have sympathy for him we will remember him forever God bless the storyteller God bless Jason dameron
He was the StoryTeller. A man who loved to talk about the rich history of the fallout world. His world. He passed away from cancer a few weeks ago and he is loved and missed by us all.
Every time I see a new post, my damn old eyes get all...sweaty, gets hard to type... can't see the keyboard..lol Be well Jason, you've been good company around my campfire for years... didn't realize how long we've been together..till you were gone. Gonna miss you good, kind, sir. May your roads be peaceful now. Wmg.

When I found out that he passed away I couldn’t believe it, I didn’t want to believe it. I had such fond memories of watching shoddycast’s fallout lore videos and seeing the storyteller’s adventures, Thank you Jason Damron for your stories… may you find peace.
I knew of the story teller I saw a few of his videos and he seemed quite passionate about the lore of Fallout you could see that in the videos he created. Seeing this video brought a tear to my eye to know that the story teller has the love and respect of his fans im sure he’s looking down with a big smile on his face knowing that the joy he brought through his videos and fans will be remembered for ever for times to come it’s a shame that the world lost a such a shining star may his light continue to shine though us all in the stories he told. From a fellow lore loving Fallout fan I salute 🫡 you sir r.i.p.
I know people's privacy comes first, but many RU-vidrs go out quietly. Maybe someone in the comments mention the news but that's about all. I think you did a great service to this person and their work here on RU-vid.👍
Im sorry but who the hell is this for? Did a real person die or is this something for a character in Fallout? I have no actual idea what’s going on I just keep seeing things about this.
Was story teller on one of the radio stations or something? I’ve played fallout 4 but not sure I recognize the voice or anything, either way rest in paradise 🙏🏽
one of the best lore story teller who didn't twist the lore to their narrative. He will live on in all of us who will tell his tells to the next generations of fallout fans, of a great man who we all loved and listen to.
