Great video and amazing restoration work, sir! The RM website warns not to use leather conditioner on these chinchilla boots due to the analine finish and to only use neutral polish. Any danger of the leather drying out by following their instructions? Thanks for any advice
I couldn't be certain is the honest answer.........I think these being made from a natural crust leather, there is always a danger of literally 'washing' the colour out with various creams and liquids. So, my best advice is always to use creams and polishes very sparingly, and if colour restoration is required which inevitably one day it will, then the correct colours of cream and polish can achieve this 🙂
How do I tell if my pair of RM Williams is Chinchilla or Yearling or Kangaroo leather? Its got orange leather sole and rubber heel with the horn emblem thing.

Is it a white salt mark or has the leather blown and is stained. If it is the former Hiver Salt remover by Saphir is good. The later … trial and error. Saphir renomat would be a good product to start with.
