Back in 2002 - I was a student of class 11, just out of school, new to the college life, free, wild, amazed! There is a really old, single screen cinema hall close to my college in Pune, that used to air old movies, in the morning slot, or the slot when usually no one comes to see prime movies, or at least didn't use to, back then. For one week, RHTDM was played there. Me and a couple of my friends, we saw the movie, for the entire week, every morning, walking to the hall at 9 am, sometimes borrowing money from other friends. Maddy was a rage, and Dia was the college crush back then. I can tell this for a fact that the Sach Keh Raha hain Diwana was the to go heartbreak song, and Kaise mein Kahu Tumse, was the to go proposal song. We, the kids of the early 2ks have a special bond with RHTDM, and the soundtrack especially, that cannot be erased. Later I found out the original Tamil OST, fell in love with it, but the Hindi movie and the OST is something that I will never forget. Will give anything to live those days again!
