The saddest thing is that we crave for good films but when someone comes up with good films we don't bother to watch them. Today i went to see rocketry and there were only 20 people in the theatre. That made me wonder do we really deserve good films? Let me tell this movie was just phenomenal. It was so raw and so true it will leave you speechless. Maddy is easily the best debut director.🙌🙌
Bollywood film journalists love this eyeroll-inducing question. First, there are not two industries called South and Hindi. There are 4 South industries, each with its own language. Second, if you look at the ratio of hits to flops, that is more or less same across all industries, and while that ratio is always bad, it's terrible after the pandemic. Every industry is generating far more flops than hits, it's just that everyone forgets the flops instantly. I understand that a few big South films have captured everyone's attention and imagination, but the question that should be on everyone's mind is not whether South is taking over or whatever, but what do the hits say about the mood of the audience. Madhavan put forward his tentative theory, that it is a matter of pacing, others think it has to do with spectacle, and these are fair starting points. The next step is to stop theorizing and get to work on creating the next era of cinema, and that applies to all industries, South or North.
Actually media is not happy for the success of the films like Kashmir Files, Gangubai and Bhul Bhulaiya but they're more concerned of the fact why Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh and John Abrahams films didn't worked at the box office when clashed with films from South India.

I totally agree with this guy he managed very well. Every industry has its own way of expressing and it's time. Definitely I believe in no barricade in film industry whether it is North or south that time matters a lot everyone can do perform as well.

@@gampa_10_31 don't take me wrong but Bollywood isn't making great movies from the last few years there are few good content based movies bollywood have produced in the last 4 years.In that movies some of them made good business in south and remaining failed bcoz they didn't promote their movie much in south.If you want to your movie to do well outside your own territory you should definitely have good content and you should promote your movie.well there are some exceptions to the above case(ex: uri, Kashmir files etc)

Logon ki patience hasn't reduced. Logon ki content maturity has increased. During covid, people have watched lot of good content through OTT which has made dem appreciate the cinema making art. So if u want to pull them to theatre, you shud check all the boxes
Actually nowadays people want to see a full on entertaining movie meant for a movie theater experience. The example is Sooryavanshi, RRR, Pushpa, Vikram, Gangubai, Bhool Bhulaiya, etc. Kashmir files was an Exception and it worked because of the sentiments.

Who the hell is this reporter ? Brahmastra was made in 10 years . Shamshera was made in 4 years . Not any big movie in Hindi cinema has come this year in PRC . And not all south indian movies got hit in india this year . Only pushpa , rrr , kgf got hit . R madhvan sir gave such a intelligent answer
