It's both. Some dinos looked like birds, some looked like lizards, and some pterosaurs (flying reptiles) had fine, bat-like hairs. Some were scales and spines, some had feathers in weird places, there's a whole number of different things we find out about dinos. Sometimes we misinterpret an anatomical detail due to weird fossilization, or we find new evidence that replaces old evidence due to being more complete, or we find out that multiple things both existed, like scaly dinos and feathered dinos. My personal new favorite detail that was found out a couple years ago or less is that Spinosaurus's tail was a fun, too. We already suspected it ate fish due to having a croc-like mouth, but we still thought it as land based because the remains we knew before only had part of their tail. Now we have a specimen with better tailbone remains and it also swam like a croc, too.

I recall a story when I was younger where just past my exit on the highway near my home chains or something snapped on a truck carrying logs and they fell all over the highway, causing a massive pile up. I don't know if people died, but I totally count that as a final destination moment.

In regards to Nate’s rant on Dinosaurs, he is right on the fact we don’t know everything about them, and never will, but i will clarify that there are Dinosaur specimens that do have feathers, and there’s enough evidence that they were more like birds than reptiles, think of them as a midway point between the two, hell there are even methods to figure out what color some dinosaurs were as well, but there is so much more that will continue to remain a mystery, likely forever Also i agree how annoying it is on how people say Jurassic Park is inaccurate, people these days when it comes to films are very anal on Dinosaur portrayal, and the only time it matters is in a documentary like Prehistoric Planet, aside from that it really doesn’t matter and it gets irritating when people start criticizing how a Dinosaur looks in anything other than a documentary.

Also the article in question isn't even claiming that T. rex didn't have feathers the article is about the presence of lizard like lips witch was a debate because all current extant dinosaurs and their closest extant relatives completely lack lips. It's actually really interesting how they figured this out but a bit to overly detailed. Birds are dinosaurs there is no debate about it currently in science, heck it looks like pterosaurs even had them so they might be even more basal. The only debate is how much covering did witch species have.

It's not about proving yourself right, it's about finding new discoveries, increasing your knowledge, and getting as close to the truth as you possibly can. This is not politics or religion. The reason why scientists are trying to be as accurate as possible isn't for the sake of clout, it's for the sake of knowledge, progress and discovery. That's the entire point.

18:46 this story made me remember something that i need to vent about, so i was traveling with family and we have logs with 4 straps on it and we get pulled over and fined 300$ for 'not having enough straps', the cop is looking at the road waiting for my stepfather to pay, im watching the road to, a truck with double the logs we had passes by with 1!, STRAP!, and the cop doesn't do anything, he gets paid the fine and drives off, in the opposite direction of the other *beep* truck!

35:30 Crazy thing, I always found myself weirdly targeted at work to make fun with. Not necessarily pranked, but just joked with in general. Well the thing with dinosaurs is that while they looked lizard like on a superficial level, they're still more closely related to birds than anything else. So even if we NEVER know exactly how they looked, we know for a fact that they were related to birds.

One day while roaring down a mountain side he attempted to downshift the truck but the gear shifter popped off in his hand. He had to run the thing into a gravel ditch to avoid a line of cars stopped at a light directly ahead. One thing I have to say is that being new at the job doesn't always lead to abuse from co-workers or upper management. But that doesn't change the fact my first ever paying boss was so bad that he made everyone cry or quit due to his military aggression and flagrant hitting on his workers as if he didn't have a wife that I know exists because he's my down the road neighbor.

The irony is that they knew that dino probably didn't have frills or venom, they put it in anyway to demonstrate that there's no way to know exactly how a dino will be just by fossils, and to show how the scientists were arrogant and not as on top of things and therefore in charge as they thought they were.

regarding the part where there is the "rant" about science is more complicated than that,i don't know about this dinosaur things,but the mess with the news generally is because of predatory magazine,what they are? pratically a normal science magazine have a things where they specialize and they treat only that(because every camp and path in science is complicated so one can be sure to do be able to talk about 1 argument) and when someone want to publish there are all sort of control made by other scientist chose at random which then test the things ecc ecc,the predatory magazine do nothing of this,they spam everywhere to ask to buy one of their space to publish,then they do 0 control and publish, "guru" use this to publish their shit and make pass like the genuine things,other than that some scientist have publish fake article in this magazine for both giggle and discretit them, so there are magazine that have publicated article on "zubat is the cause of coranavirus" "the life exist thank the miclodorian which permit us to use the force" and a lot of other things like that, there is even when guy who so annoyed by the continue spam which have created an article called "Get Me off your fucking mail list" and the entire article was that repeated times and times again and again

8:56 I assume the reason they do a screen instead on the window is that having a screen allows them to put more insulation behind the screen so it saves them electricity to keep the drinks at a certain temperature. The cost to have the screen is cheaper than what it would cost to run the cooling system more due to glass not being a good insulator.
