In this video, we’ve compiled another batch of quick tips that we occasionally publish on Instagram. I am going to share several tips that have proven beneficial in relation to utilizing my R-Pod 179’s kitchen. Each of these tips serves to: provide a quick ‘how-to’; suggest a helpful item; offer an idea of how to repurpose something you might otherwise discard. The goal of each tip is to help make your RV travel experience more enjoyable.

Hi John - Just a quick thanks for all of your guidance. We just ordered our 189 last night. Will still be weeks before we get it, but watching your content is making me feel much more confident in successful early trips. Keep up the great work!

We use a wireless thermometer for our refer & our independent stand alone other refer / freezer (we use differently if we are on short or long trips). I will have to go watch your microwave video - always fight those things! I use a towel or something to prop open the refer after a trip too.

Thanks for the comment! It's nice to know others are doing similar things. Enjoy the convection microwave video. Thanks again for watching!

Thanks for your videos, they've been very helpful! We just bought a 2016 Rpod 179 and Love it!! Still trying to get it organized for longer trips. Do you have any suggestions of how to organize that awkward cabinet in the kitchen beneath the cooktop? Its soooo deep and I don't want to waste space! Thanks in advance.

Amy, I use the lower (floor) area for stuff that we don’t need regularly (overstock). We also use some small containers. We also have puck lights to make it easier to see. There are a few mods people have done and I would point you to the owners forum: rpod-owners.com. Thanks!

@@JohnMarucci Thanks so much! We are thinking about installing another outside door to access the lower area. Any advice on doing that? I've seen mods for installing a window in the door, which we also plan to do. I would assume it would be similar? Thanks again.

Amy J Meyer Amy, there are people who have done both things you are looking to do. I haven’t and have no plans to. I’d point you to the forum again or the V2 Facebook group. Thanks!

Our LED lights on our R-Pod 180 are a nuisance when they glow when off. Is there anything that you can recommend? Thanks and we love your videos.

You could use a bit of painter’s tape on the lights that are too bright at night. Hope this helps!

Just wanted to update you on my R Pod nothing but problems bought it last Sept had it one week first fridge wouldn’t work needed a new door then back window leaked dealer took it to fix it so by then I left it there for winter picked it up a week ago had it two days window still leaking and slide is leaking I am very frustrated I have not even used it yet. It’s been 7 months since I bough it and have had in my driveway a total of 2 weeks.

Laura, sorry to hear this. I would recommend being persistent with your dealer to get it fixed properly. Sometimes you have to be a squeaky wheel until you get what you need from a dealer or Forrest River. I know I have (just watch my two videos on my R-Pod floor trouble). If you bought it new last September, then it is under warranty and they have to fix it. The only consolation is that most camping is still closed down. I'd encourage you to retry and get it fixed so you have it ready to go when things open up. All the best and feel free to report back how things are going. It will help others.

John Marucci Thank you for your concern I guess I needed to vent and thought you would understand. I have video and pictures of everything at the present time it is at the dealer. I do love it but geez it is so frustrating.
