My way about investing in sealed products is to hold sets that you don't personally enjoy, so you're never tempted to rip them open in the future. I'm personally not a fan of Temporal Forces, so it's easy for me to hold onto it. But if I was holding a ton of 151, I'd be foaming at the mouth resisting the urge to rip 'em all.. And always hold singles that you enjoy, that's the fun of collecting, right? If you aren't really jiving with the card, why not sell it? I don't know.. There's 100 different ways to invest, and none are "wrong"
If you're having trouble keeping 151 sealed buy a sealed case. That's what I did and I'm having way more luck keeping it sealed. Got a case of the 151 binders and a case of etbs
I made a comment on one of Danny phantumps video saying I miss how the hobby was before all the investorcucks and shills/ hypebeasts came in and ruined everything making everything about money. Of course I got dog piled on for that but the gaslighting was absurd. Clearly none of them have been collecting as long as I have because they would realize how dumb they sound when they claim Pokemon collecting was always about the money when I have the receipts to prove thats not true. 1 example is me buying a mint shining charizard for 15.27, 1st edition Erikas Venusaur for 2.50 and way more. Sorry for the essay just wanted to vent
It definitely can happen. I bought a Chilling Reign ETB and back to back packs pulled the Zeraora V and Zapdos V alt arts. Those cards aren't going anywhere because that was probably the only time I'll ever see that happen again
@@OpossumBud Impossible since there's only 1 SAR in japanese boxes. You couldn't pull that back to back. While with english everything is possible. Pulling 2 alt arts from 1 BB of Evolving Skies is possible while some people don't even pull 1 in a case.
They’re like: “Hey gwuys should I go outside and touch grass for the first time in my life? I was also thinking I spice things up with my first shower too? Thanks gwuys”
The point of the post is everyone on r/pokeinvesting asks everyone for advice about what to do…that was a play on them asking what do in life I guess…I should’ve made that more clear I’ll take responsibility for that
That sub is possibly one of the most ridiculous things ever. It’s sad that the average new collector goes there first before anywhere else. It’s just always what should I do with anything and everything related to Pokémon. I have to block it after a day or two or else my brain hurts.
I do watch videos about the ups & downs in the price of Pokémon but cuz it's not important to me I don't retain or dwell on it.I have never sold any cards,I give em away if I don't need em.How can it be a fun hobby any other way?
People who post asking about selling hits are just looking to flex, they already have their mind made up. I figure they're lonely & no one in their family/friend circle gives a shit about their "hobby".
If you gotta ask the world what YOU should do with your collection. You're not into the hobbie. You're just trying to make money off a hyped/trend situation. That's what I get out of these dumb questions people post.
Bro the way said this at 1:40 had me on those Daft punk Techno Logic vibes 😂 Sell it , trade it , hold it , grade it ,stop don’t do it pokevesting pokevesting Sell it , trade it , hold it , grade it ,stop don’t do it Sell it , trade it , hold it , grade it ,stop don’t do it Sell it , trade it , hold it , grade it ,stop don’t do it Pokevesting pokevesting
I like the dollar store back-to-back; you have better odds of getting hit with lighting! I don't understand why it is hard to decide on what you're doing with your cards; question you should ask yourself do you collect or a reseller and that it.
I know what you mean. I see that reddit sub and everytime some bs post comes up about "should i sell or hold" im just thinking like wtf obviously sell because you dont give a fvck about the card. A collector wouldnt be asking these stupi fvcking questions! Oh ma gaaawwww! And this is coming from someone who invests in pokemon but i also collect anything charizard, blastoise, venesaur etc. That subreddit is so annoying ffs.
When people ask if they should sell I feel like it’s half bragging and half hoping someone offers to buy it (since they’re too lazy to do any research)… idk though I was banned from there and glad I don’t see these anymore
The idea of resubmitting to get a different grade tickles me. It’s proof that people don’t care if it’s perfect, they just want the value associated with having a 10. I don’t really mind people doing it. That said, if I was into collecting graded singles, I’d be beyond hesitant to blindly trust the grade by its self. If I need to check over the card to confirm that it’s actually a 10 then what is the point of the service assigning grades?
Ever watched Big Mouth on Netflix? Because thats some top tier voice acting right there 😂 10/10! But yeah I pulled two Perrin madly enough and instantly sold them to grab a Greninja when the release hype has dropped off 👌🏼 maybe I should have asked Reddit first though 🤔 damn.
I think it's even worse people are asking if a card is worth selling that is still being printed. If Temporal was Evolving skies or Lost Origin ok fine.
There has been a lot of products dropping lately with E.S. in them the pokeball tin drop at Aldi, the C22 mini tins at WM, striker tins at WM, and the hisuian tins at Target....
Those people are so annoying. Are they trying to humble brag? Just sell the damn card already, it’s not they give a shit about the hobby besides how much money they can get in their pockets.
After watching this vid, I have no Pokémon cards... but I'M RICK BEEYOTCH!!! Haha, truth be told, I don't sell anything. The apartment is feeling a bit crammed lately.
Evolving skies is over imo. Especially the umbreon, pricing is going down now, just a few days it drops a couple hundred dollars now. I think the hype is over and crown zeros is next to rise 😓😓
My 6 year old son pulled back to back sir's from twilight masquerade. First the heartflame mask then the carmine sir. Insanity opossum but I swear it happened.
These people is just using these post as bragging for whatever they just pull. But they don't want geek out about so they just casually post it asking dumb questions like "what should I do?"😅
I pulled aylveon vmax alt and rayquaza vmax alt within 5 packs once. And one time I opened a charizard holo from evolutions, followed immediatly by a skyla full art from breakpoint. Its possible I suppose🤷♂️
Bro the Pokémon if u are in it for the money must be so hard cuz it changes like in weeks something could be mad expensive the be cheap in weeks with how people control the market like how do they even make money 😂 besides hype
I wonder if his pokemon trapped him in his own Pokeball and he’s been talking to himself the whole time. Opo if u can hear this and need help wave your hands randomly at the camera lol
