"A lot of bands these days make their own cds and sell them out on the internet, R. Stevie's the guy that back even before cds were invented, pretty much came up with that whole idea of making an entire album in your own studio, and then just selling it by a little mailing list to the true believers in what good pop music writing is all about, even if the major labels don't have a single idea in their head about what it really should be." - legendary radio dj Dr Demento
Unsung Father of Lo-Fi and DIY Pioneer, R. Stevie Moore performing live on cult tv show Scott & Gary, NY 1984. Feat. Chris Bolger, Lee Miller, Jim Price and Phil Varallo.

The double neck guitar in this video looks like it might be a Tobias. Mike Tobias is known for his basses. The brand name was purchased by Gibson in 1990, while Tobias later began offering instruments under the Michael Tobias Designs name. The drum machine you can see briefly is a Yamaha MR10.

It’s originally on his 1978 self-released album Pow Wow, which is one of his best IMHO! Also on excellent 2013 vinyl compilation Personal Appeal, which mostly covers 1973-81 era RSM.
