It's actually sad when you realise out of all of the OG star wars characters from the original trilogy, the only ones who survived to the end were C3P0, R2D2, and Chewbacca
So R2-D2 is the only one left who remembers the greatest achievements and tragedies of the entire family of Skywalkers who owned him? On the one hand, that seems like a good thing. On the other hand, I imagine all the drama that family went through that he was there to wittiness must have given that little droid PTSD.
After all the shit he's seen over the years, I imagine he's haunted by all kinds of crazy horrible things. He saw one of his closest friends try force choke his wife right in front of him, and that's not even the worst thing he saw that day.
@@aguy7848 To be fair, through it all, R2 is super persistent, loyal, and positive. Tbh, he and Obi Wan have a similar mindset in sticking to their individual ways, Obi Wan with the Jedi way and R2 with… the droid way I guess lol
Actually, in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, it said that Obi-Wan Kenobi and Bail Organa deleted all of their memories of the events that happened from The Phantom Menace to Revenge of the Sith after the birth of the Skywalker twins. Then again, y'know, LEGO game, so take this info with a pinch of salt.
It's sad to know that these droids were so useful in the Prequals and Originals but in the sequels they were treated more like useless junk meanwhile BB-8 (who I don't hate) got all the attention But BB-8 will never be as special since it was only R2 and 3PO since they were the only two characters who appeared in all 9 saga movies
They weren't treated like "usesless junk". And BB-8 didn't get all the attention either. And saying BB-8 will never be as special is just not fair. It doesn't matter how many movies 3PO and R2 appeared in.
3PO deserved better. Just because he could be a bit annoying sometimes doesn't give Han, Chewy, and Leia the right to treat him like dirt. That said though, he could've been nicer to Chewy after he saved his life by rescuing him from being burnt in the furnace at Cloud City.
The way R2 looked so hurt when 3PO didn't remember a thing about their friendship was such a punch in the gut. Lil bro doesn't have any expressions but even we could tell that he was saddened.
😂😂 I'm playing the skywalker saga right now and I'm on the Droid factory in attack of the clones and I hear C3P0 say "machines building machines". Then a bit later, I hear him say it in this video

@@ilikethecokev2 Unfortunately I read in lot of forum that ppl hate 3PO. Or maybe simply dislike him. In the matter of fact he is one of the best character in SW universe in my opinion.
Missed the best part of their bit on Battle of Geonosis. After 3P0’s head gets removed from the B1 body and R2 drags him away, he says “oh, this is such a drag”
1:36 I always wondered why 3po had his memory wiped but now I think I know why (so he doesn't defect to the empire to join his former master Lord Vader)
2:56 I also think this scene would be better if his memory wasn't wiped because if you were watching these in chronological order you'd have more context

They are shit in the prequels but it isn't their fault. R2 pushing 3po to his death in a droid factory? 3po having a peculiar dream? George Lucas is a total clown and the originals were great coz of the people around him that made it good.
