There are two common diameters of capacitors. The one you see in the first drawer is the larger diameter and would require changing the clamp. He was looking for (and found) the smaller diameter capacitor.
"You call for a mechanic, and they send you a salesman." You nailed the Texas market. Here when we roll up to provide the second opinion, it's not uncommon to find wires removed from unit, parts gone, and it was deemed, "Unfixable" by the last company on site. Hey, Ted. Are you ever going to give us the lowdown in the Chinese R-22?
@@TedCookHVAC I was afraid of that. Had I seen it on most anyone else's channel I would have discounted it right away. You're one of the few that holds enough credibility for me to have been interested. Thanks.
14:25 You don't understand why people kick the can down the road. I'm not going to pay you $9,000 for a new unit when $400 will take me through the summer.
I will never understand why people allow the condenser to be buried in mulch behind overgrown landscaping and yet when the AC goes out will suddenly pay thousands to get it back ASAP. It takes almost no effort to keep the area around the condenser managed. And if you are paying for landscaping service and they are doing that stuff then they shouldn't be your landscapers.
Competency always gets the sale and Ted obiviosely you addressing the issue first without a typical sales spiel got them to agree to replace the system and I am sure in your hands the new system will be sized correctly since 410 a systems have a, difference VS older r 22 systems. And with your experience and expertise they sure are in good hands. Plus hopefully they will give you a service contract too.
Times are bad these days my RU-vid friend people our really struggling as I'm sure you know. I live in AZ recently retired and started a handyman business and it's hard to get work.
Average Joe doesn't have money to fix stuff himself anymore, much less pay someone. Now it's time for deferred maintenance (deferred to the next owner or buyer)
Would You tell Your Commenters that I didn't mean any disrespect to You. I watch a Live Stream of R.V. Debbs on Wednesday and Saturday Nights and it was getting pretty close to time for it and I didn't want to miss it either. Some of these People on You Tube act like Children or worse.
I enjoy watching Your Videos and Steve Lav too. I can't walk very Good now, but I know that Both of You Guys Work hard and Plumbing and Electrical Work is Hard Work. I have done some of it, plus Factory work on Hard Concrete Floors.
