They are quite different. The evo doesn’t have such an adjustable chassis. It’s harder to make an evo dance around. The R5 on the other hand is so supple and you can almost do what you like with it. The evo is still a very quick car, but it’s road car underpinnings and development as a production car yield limitations, that are difficult to overcome. Ultimately, the R5 is a purpose built rally car as opposed to a modified road car (albeit a very good one).
