R8. d'Aspremont et al. 1979 Econometrica (Excellent) On Hotelling's "Stability in Competition" 

This paper comments on Hotelling model. They said that Hotelling 1929 is invalid. d'Aspremont et al introduce quadratic cost. They find that firms will far away from each other.
