Born in a family of musicians Gwalior Gharana Vocalist - Geetika Umdekar is grand-daughter of Late Pt. Balabhau Umdekar, (i.e. also known as KundalGuru), a court musician of the erstwhile Gwalior state and an accomplished great exponent from Gwalior Gharana. Geetika has learned/learning intricacies of Hindustani Classical Music from her father Pt. Shriram Umdekar (i.e. An accomplished sitarist and disciple of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan Saheb) and her aunt Late Smt. Kamal Mandal (i.e. daughter and disciple of Late Pt. Balabhau Umdekar). Geetika is double Gold Medalist both in M.A. and Kovid along with being a "B - High" graded artist of AIR.
